HOLY SHIT, they played this in the new Pokemon trailer. I have been saying for over a decade that it sounds like a Pokemon route theme, I feel SOOOO validated right now
I’ve never have a concert with senior band due to the pandemic. My seniors used to perform this song on stage and I felt so amazing when I’m just a junior who just silently work under the stage. This song reminds me of the days we practice, go competition together and the happiness and sadness. I feel so miserable right now. I’m gonna graduate without a precious memory with the band lately. I miss those days
In my hometown, Geldo (Spain), when there is a proclamation about an event, this music plays. After 6 years I finally know the name of this "Final Fantasy vibing" melody. I can finally die peacefully.
Whatever whichever country has, Japan does it better, and adds onto it some more good stuff. That's why modern Japan is one of the best countries in the world imo.

We played it in marching band a couple years later. I take it back. Just listened to it again. We played it at this tempo or very very close.
Ah the magic of James Barnes, a University of Kansas music professor. For all of you who think Kansas is a fly over state, just listen to this and then attend a ball game at Phog Allen Field House.
I played it also and it is very beautiful but it needs a lot of work to play it as wonderful as the Wind Orchestra!! When you come to 7.15 you can hear how difficult it is!!
They should've added this soundtrack in the overworld of Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, as well would've been perfect instead of hearing the same soundtrack the overworld has right now.
@@johandebattista6335 if I remember correctly this is not a fun song for trombones as the mostly the same beat for most of the song on repeat. It’s less of skill and being a boring song.
For James Barnes this is a very underwhelming work. Very repetitive and pretty rhythmically stagnant. This piece would be way cooler if it was half the length
The perfect mix of adventurous and emotional, only for it to collapse into chaos for us woodwinds. Who else feels this

Played it my first year in North Hills marching band 97/98. I think my class chose it for their senior show too, but I was no longer in marching band.
