The real crime is the price Multichoice charges, and the fact that they've held a monopoly in the space in South Africa over the last 30 years. They deserve to go under.
Yes these tv boxes are illegal. But multichoice may be legal but it is unethical to charge that much. The CEOs and owners only care about the bottom line and not how expensive it is for South African families.
Well yeah, Multichoice is a JSE listed company - their board including the CEOs literal job is only to cate about the bottom line..? If you own Multichoice stock you definitely want them to keep gouging customers as much as possible so stock price can go up.
Basically as they do not effectively pay South African creatives' royalties either...Years gone by and copyright works available even on streaming sites of some of South Africa's finest artists who don't see a cent for years. Case in point the Brenda Fassie/ Zahara dynamic; 2 generational artists faced with the same plight decades apart. Time to look at all perspectives

New business models are needed if Monochoice (as someone called them) is to survive the current, and coming industrial revolution. Everything is changing, and they don't seem to be interested in adapting to the new ways of doing things, and that creates a gap for the such syndicates to cater to the customers

So we must pay R990 pm to watch shows and movies from 2007?
Multichoice is the real criminal here
Multichoice costs us an arm and a leg for repeats of old content. Its expensive, they wont even at least give SS2 to its Access customers . Thats local football !!! They have a monopoly on SA content and they will continue losing young customers .
Lol Frikkie is such a Muppet
Multichoice is killing us with repeats and channels that offer nothing. Why aren't you questioning what they're doing and what they're offering. Come on Carte Blanche
Multichoice Profit 25Billion Plus a year,A Top US actor earns $65Million and donations from Both R1,000,000- So Pirates will always change the scales
I want to avoid this device, what is its name so that l can make sure to avoid it or report when l see it 😑
These boxes get used as part of a botnet. Mostly for DDoS attacks.
why dont Multichoice disclose how much they "pay" the song writer, the actress and the sportsman from their side?? Especially with Multichoice charges on a monthly basis
Tawanda is the boss
only big corporations are allowed to be greedy not the average person ...
Does anybody have Tawanda's number...🤔
Ek kyk veel eerder dinge onwettig as om vir multichoice of dstv geld te gee. Ek betaal eerder in dollar vir oorseese dinge as om iets hier te betaal. Hulle verdien niks.
I dunno, the actors, sportsman/woman, movie companies song writers etc... All seem to be doing alright. I don't see any of them begging for scraps or struggling to pay rent.
