To all these doctors that invested. You truly have my respect. I used to believe that doctors are just out there to see you for 10minutes and make money. I’m glad there are some who are truly genuine and take that oath so seriously
It brings me joy bubbles to know people like Dr Strobos exist in this world- it gave me shivers in my spine watching this wow ❤ Continue to be blessed doctors...
This is example of what we can achieve as South Africans citizens if we can work together regardless of political affiliation or nationality and don’t monopolise and be greedy.
Unfortunately, in SA's current political climate something so incredibly beautiful and worthwhile will never go unpunished. I guarantee you as long as ANC and friends remain where they are now they'll find a way to extract this place for all it's got.
In private hospitals there is hope of treatment when you go there. In public, nurses can exchange pills or subtract others from packages. Older people are dying because of that. They are given either wrong or deducted amounts of pills supposed to be given. So that's the reason public is a no go but due to funds, we have to.
It surprises me that there are many black people within ANC or even not related to politics with billions of Rands but none of them had plan to build hospital or anything that could make people's life better.
Please don't insult our intelligence. In a private hospital where doctors are trying to recoup their 320M investment, there is absolutely NO prioritization of patient over profit!!! That's a hospital for the wealthy, period! Middle class folks will never see the walls of that place, let alone the less fortunate! Case in point, look at the car our shoulder patient drove to the hospital in...that's a Mercedes GLE/C something SUV.
I did not see anywhere they mentioned its for free? Obviously you have to cover costs. The idea for this hospital is that the actual healthcare is world-class ... obviously, it has to cost money. The government and NHI are completely different issues, but we all know it's the less fortunate that are almost entirely responsible for the problems of the country. They keep voting for the same corrupt party, so why should anybody have empathy if they suffer?
Even so ,some medical aids are not that expensive, which can allow middle class ppl to go hospital. I do not believe free care for everyone will be sustainable at all !
I noticed that as well. Private hospital exacerbate public corruption in a way. If it was me, I would burn medical aids so that every rich person could go to public hospitals n in that way, health workers were going to up their game
I used to compare carte Blanche to 60 minutes Australia however it seem standard in carte blanche episodes is going down fast after watching several stories, I don't think they have balance reporting which used to left people thinking critical about different topics, right now most stories are one sided, they way the report this days is not investigation based stories with fact and trying to find different voices, especially affected people in their stories
Personally, love Carte Blanche more. 60 Minutes is still great too. BBC’s Africa Eye has been absolutely amazing of late… but it’s not the same format as these
That’s great that the hood dr is enjoying life to the fullest but what about those that can’t afford to go to that hospital should they be denied the basic healthcare because all specialists are in private health and that they only accept medical aid workers ? 😊 also why do they send those with depleted medical aide back to government hospitals ? Let’s have a balanced reporting as media not such bias bling bling
Precisely, you get this problem. Dr Strobos has built his dream, cudos to him. But anyone with a medical aid that doesnt cover his fees or that of his hospital or without gap cover will not be helped there. Its just more of the same and the title of the clip us misleading and doesnt understand a inch of what medical care reform needs to be about. Neither does the NHI in some regards.
That's y we have doctor Matthew Lani.. coz real doctors r building wealth, while our government education can take us as far as the next mop or taxi steering with that 30% matric certificate even if it's a 100 I don't think amoeba has something to do with engineering or chartered accountants or getting a proper health care.. ..🤔 interesting

my mind alone has taken a beating waiting for help :(

I am happy to see that there are so many compassionate Doctors out there making a difference and thinking about the future.

Same here! Goosebumps all around and literal tears forming in my eyes as I've watch this video twice. Gives you so much hope ❤
This is so inspiring! Wish we could find some people willing to go into the education system like this too 🎉
I'm so glad CB is finally having positive stories. We need more positive stories and less negative stories.
Claire Mawisa's enthusiastic ringing of that bell brought me so much joy
I love the concept of this show and the professionalism of all the presenters, big ups to all the team

This gives me hope 🙏🏻
5 years. lets check back here in 5 years.

They're not even trying to hide it anymore.
Negative thoughts are not okay
Its negative and really sad but very true. We shouldn't be naive @@Jay-rd3hn.
Wow 👌 what an idea 💡 👏 ❤ great work Doctors 👏
He spent a lifetime "note he achieve this only in 2018"
Great work Dr Strobos
As for NHI. I don’t even have 1% faith in our government not to loot the entire thing and leave citizens with nothing
Her dress is amazing
Excellent. I’ll be more than willing to go to this hospital
This is a great story of ambition

The real heros of SA. Makes me feel sick that the worst humans are the ones making the most important decisions in our beautiful country.
This is amazing news🎉
This is incredible 👌🏾👌🏾👌🏾👌🏾
way to get into the NHI....build a private hospital and get the business through government contracts. Nice strategy, and an awesome ad.
It surprises me that there are many black people within ANC or even not related to politics with billions of Rands but none of them had plan to build hospital or anything that could make people's life better.
Amazing! ❤ How can we contribute to this amazing initiative?
love your content
We have our government which got R1000 billion and did nothing
This looks cool 🎉
No way, NHI will work. Just fix the public hospitals. So easy.

for poor people?
Afrikaners can turn turds into diamonds.very proud of them.always been pioneers no matter what life throws at them.
What do you mean?
Absolutely spot on. 👍
Sounds like propaganda, but also pride in what he might think is his people.

Wow 🎉
I’m 100% for the NHI. If we can get a new government to manage it it will be a great step forward.
Absolutely x
Yes if it is managed by the ANC can you imagine the state it will be in! What a thought! :(
Beautiful skirt
So that is the most important thing to you.
Oh they are STILL making vast sums.
So you work there?
Even if they were… this is commendable. The investment they put in was not easy. It definitely was a risk on their part.
Reinventing the wheel because they cant meet the standards

@@NorthBag777 well, I’m looking at it from a point of: they didn’t have to take the hard route.
They definitely took a risk.
