Had one for a few weeks. I have the blue version, I can't stop picking this phone up! It's buttery smooth in performance despite other reviews saying it lags. I'm running about 60 apps, no lag at all but I'm not a gamer so I can't comment on that really. The camera isn't the fastest but takes great pictures in good light, low light is below average. Battery life is great but fast charge takes care of that anyway! I really can't say anything bad about this phone. I will be using this for the next year at least haha....I'm confident I'll get through OK
Everyone complained about the removal of the headphone jack, yet more smartphone manufacturers did the same. Everyone complained about the iPhone X notch and yet again, smartphone manufactures are following this trend. *Stop using iPhone as a standard phone design!!!*
It is simple, do not buy the phone. Like we did with the stupid S6... at least we made them bring back the SD card. Sadly that was enough for most, I wanted removable battery back as well.
Samsung is good with listening to their customers. If they build a phone with removable battery, water resistance will be very difficult to achieve. I know they had it on the S5 but it is not as good as the S9.
RUS obviously not, there is been major advances in everything, but the only bad part of the S5 was the dumb charger port cover, but now charger ports are watertight without a cover... so it will not be an S9, but it will be as fast and waterproof as the S9, with the same internal hardware, and I will add an IR blaster to make it even more desirable... now... that will be a real smartphone, fast like the new ones and tough as the old ones. I will pay even more for a phone like that, if it is made just the way I want it, it deserves my money. But that is my dream phone. Samsung where way ahead of the pack back then, their phones had it all, now... not so much.
Honestly guys, don't listen to the negative reviews anywhere. I have it and it's immaculate. Extremely fast, very nice camera and a beautiful screen and appearance. At around £220 it is by far the most value for money phone I have ever seen battery lasts you more than a day of heavyish use. Highly recommended.

In 2017, bezzel less was the great and coolest smartphone trend. In 2018, notch is the worst smartphone trend but you can hide that notch using Huawei's software feature though.
Looks great but 5 hours screen on is not that impressive. I get nearer 10 hours with the MI A1 albeit with looks more like the iPhone 7. Same battery capacity too.

The notch can be hidden, meaning being switched to black background. The status displays stay on the left and right of the notch, but the screen looks much more "normal" then. I hsv it always hidden on mine.
I have a feeling if a p30 lite comes out next year it will be amazing with the Leica camera as standard. I predict it would go up to 20mp both cameras rear and front.
The Cubot X18 plus is THE budget phone to buy. £88 or $124 for a phone with a near bezelless design, 4gbs of RAM, 64gbs ROM and a 4000Mah battery running Android 8 Oreo and a fantastic bright and sharp screen is the bargain of the year. It would blow the Huawei P20 out of the water.
You can hide that notch by the software there's an option in the settings, the notch area will become black & it does look perfect like there's no notch in P20 Lite, P20 & P20 Pro, atleast Huawei gave the option to their users that who prefers what
If you ease up with the unnecessary video effects in the intro, you would actually be able to read the text. White text on bright backgrounds tends to be hard to read.

I had a P9 Lite, the screen cracked VERY easy, and changing a screen on Huawei is almost the same cost as buying a new one! Does the P20 have a better protection or do you recommend to buy a protection screen/glass? Thanks!
@@goofyahh8759 got it for christmas, i used to have an old samsung j7 and i absolutely love this new one. the screen is huge, and the notch is small enough to the point where it never bothers me. the glossy back is SO nice. the 32gb storage is not a problem since I can insert a micro sd card if it fills up. overall rating: 10/10 for me, i dont need expensive or flagship phones to make me happy.
Only one thing lets this phone down , bluetooth , fitbits rarely can sync with the lite and even fitbit state the lite versions are not supported because of the sub par bluetooth chip

The main reason I prefer the iphone to Android is the fact that you can stop all background processes on the iphone. My Galaxy Note 3 is so full of crap, that I no longer use it.
Had the P20 lite for 7 days now and had problems every day, screen freezing, unable to type letters e and z when texting, problems intermittent but persistent, tried factory re set and updates but nothing worked at all, even tried downloading different keyboards, phone obviously not ready for launch but Huawei gone ahead anyway. Its a shame as it looks like a great phone at first glance. BE WARNED PEOPLE! I ended up taking phone back to the shop and going back to an LG G6.
The one thing that is an eyesore is that black colored on screen back, home screen and recent buttons when you open a 3rd party apps. :( its literally annoying

This phone has the same internals as older Mate 10 Lite, except the notch display, USB type C and a gyro. CPU and GPU and the cameras are exactly the same.
I could easily be tempted to buy one of the Huaweis to replace my 3 year old Samsung S5 BUT I can't find any reviews that reassure me that Huawei has a UK Service setup as good as any other manufacturer. There are some damming reviews out there. Do you know what Huawei is doing about this? I won't buy one until I'm sure.

I think that easily Nokia 7 Plus should be considered by most people instead of P20 Lite which showed how very lazy design wise Huawei can be (Mate 10 and 10 Pro look so good, why they chose the notch...) by making an iPhone X clone... and just in general Nokia 7 Plus has a more solid build, better software support, a better battery and probably a better performance. So I think objectively Nokia 7 Plus wins :)
I've had a play around with this in the shop, I'm considering buying it, but one thing I noticed is that there isn't an All Apps button/icon at the bottom centre of the homescreen as there is on the P20 and P20 Pro. Is this because it's only EMUI 8.0 whereas the others are 8.1? What do you do if you don't want all the apps on the homescreen? Also, the P20 Lite or Nokia 8? I'm torn between the two.
Do not under any circumstances touch the P20 series because if you have a problem and a repair they cannot repair it 4 weeks because they haven't got the spare parts available yet so my screen cracked due to I think it's a manufacturing fault and have been told that I have to wait at least a few weeks because they haven't got the parts or the serial numbers or codes to repair it which is absolutely disgusting I have paid this money for this phone and now I can't get it repaired

Here in The Netherlands, P20 lite costs €300 and the Nokia 7+ 64gb costs €400

Do not under any circumstances touch the P20 series because if you have a problem and a repair they cannot repair it 4 weeks because they haven't got the spare parts available yet so my screen cracked due to I think it's a manufacturing fault and have been told that I have to wait at least a few weeks because they haven't got the parts or the serial numbers or codes to repair it which is absolutely disgusting I have paid this money for this phone and now I can't get it repaired

Boy it's not single Sim, you can put the second Sim card in the SD card slot but just follow the user's manual that comes in the box bruh.
