Finally got my Lynskey 27.5 built up. Absolute joy to ride, so light and nimble and the titanium frame is a lot more compliant than carbon or aluminum, it just feels...."softer." Amazing build quality, and I'm very proud to know that it is made 1.5 hours away from me!
I bought a Lynskey 🚴 Sportive a couple of years ago, more than happy with it a great bike many happy miles and several sportive's under its belt. I would definitely recommend Lynskey to anyone interested in buying one 👌
Litespeed are better. They kept making bikes and developed better technology while Lynskey were having a 9 year break from building bikes. That's because Lynskey got greedy and sold off Litespeed... they regretted it and now they are trying to recapture those bygone years. Sadly Lynskey,s are not as stiff as they use softer Titanium that's easier to work and the Helix according to the reviews handles like a wet noodle because they twisted the frame up to make it look cool? So it handles different on a right hand bend that it does on a left! I had a New Lynskey in my shop the other day. Build quality looks crude in comparison with Litespeed bikes. It's sad, but it's true. Lynskey had their day. Read the reviews on all the new litespeed bikes, they are amazing.
I had a 1997 Litespeed Vortex that I rode for over a dozen years. When the frame finally failed after 60k miles I purchased one of the original Lynskey Helix frames and later purchased a Lynskey Helix Pro frame as well. I have friends that have Lynskey Helix Pro frames purchased after seeing mine. After putting over 40k on between my two Helix frames I have never had any turning issues with either and they are just as stiff (if not stiffer) than my older all (6Al/4V) Litespeed Vortex. My friends love theirs as well and I would highly recommend either Lynskey Helix model. All our Lynskeys are older rim brake models (they now only make disc brake models) so I cannot attest to current build quality. The welds on my older Lynskey frames and detailing look top notch.
they could have saved me 4 weeks of run-around , but NO! Instead they wanted me to trade it in for $400 credit, then they spent weeks trying to verify it was an actual lynskey... BullShit
@ Ro Ye - not sure why you are mad at Lynskey. you need to take your beef up with the eBay seller for selling you junk. If you had bought a car and found out it didn't run, you wouldn't be looking to get your money back from Ford. Besides, because it's titanium, you can have any reputable metal fabrication shop reweld the frame.
I have an old Litespeed cross bike, I love it, best bike I’ve ever owned. It was made before the sale of litespeed and when I broke a chainstay weld by the rear dropout I contacted both litespeed and lynskey. I got the impression that neither company was interested in fixing the problem. Luckily we have an exotic metal welder near my home. He welded it and it is still going strong. I know a guy that had a litespeed titanium road frame that broke by the head tube, he told me litespeed refused the repair or replace it, so much for warranties. Things can happen no matter what the frame is made of, but I still love my ti and will probably always ride one.
@@mplsmark222 my friend broke his Litespeed. They asked him is he the original owner ? He said yes. They sent him a new $3000. Frame. I buy used TI online. If it breaks it’s on me.
superb, a Family business that took off, fair play to these guys, they done good. The bikes are amazing too

Softer titanium just mean more pure titanium. If you want hardness use steel.

I bought a new lynskey ti frame off an ebay bikestore. It fun a nice ride u til the headtube cracked..Lynskey wouldn't repair it under warranty.
Of course they wouldn't; That's how it is when you buy something from an unauthorized dealer. You didn't know that?
