One of the greatest songs ever written. Richard Jobson if you’re reading this, you gotta play this live. One of the most brilliant songs I’ve heard in my life! ❤

I was in Spain last week, walking the Camino. When I got to Baiona, I looked to my left and saw Castle Monttreal. This song popped into my head! OMG, it was a perfect moment. Thanks Armoury Show!

Such a big powerful sound, reminds me of Simple Minds meets a stadium rock version of Echo and the Bunnymen.

I'd never heard of these until I walked into Penny Lane Records in Chester. I got on well with one of the staff in there and asked him what was new. He played this and I was hooked. Waiting for the Floods was an amazing album and the 12 inch extended versions were excellent.

In my honest opinion, I think these guys qualify for the Big Music movement. This music is up there with the Alarm, Simple Minds, U2, Big Country (no shocker here), and the Waterboys during this era.

I've been playing guitar sonce 1988 and when people ask me my main influences, I always get a weird look when I say "John McGeoch and it's such a shame. He was such a MONSTER guitar player and people don't realize it because he served the song and not his ego.

One of the 'benefits' of being confined to the house at the moment, is finally getting around to cleaning up the garage, where I found some old local music shows on VHS tape.
One song that I had long forgotten was Love in Anger, which has a great accompanying video, and now I find that it isn't on UA-cam.
I want to throw out the old tape, but it would be a shame to lose this one song.
    Any bright ideas appreciated.

Holy shit - I don't think I've seen this video before; that's well bad! Great song, awesome band, but the video's awful! Saying that, it's almost made bearable by the presence of McGeoch the guitar god!

    Lyrics
    This is the easy time
The first and last river crossed
    A happy time
    Can you hear the voices
    Calling - calling - calling
Go on - go on - go on keep moving
Its so easy to see why
He who will rise will fall again
    I see your eyes
    Castles In Spain
    Push your way across
And did I feel uneasy here
    You settled in
    Can you hear...
You're here and you know why
    He who will...
    Can you hear...
    What can I do
    You settled in
    A happy time
    What can I do
