That thing is wobbly bro, need thicker logs for columns. Here's an idea: Instead of abandoning these in the jungle, make them for actual families with better stability.

шуруповерт там, скорее всего, был, просто в камеру не попал. В некоторых кадрах появляются подозрительные мелкие опилки. Да и не получится рукой так быстро дырки делать.

There are a lot of fantastic engineering and construction techniques illustrated here, but it's obvious that this is a hut for lounging, but not a house used for living. It would take comparatively little to make it shed rain and to stabilize it, so it didn't sway so much. The building techniques and methods make it very entertaining to watch, none the less.
Yes the stilts need strengthening or the whole lot will come down in the next monsoon.😊

Architect here: the vertical poles should have been dug much, much deeper as no cement was used and longer time was needed to tamp down and tightly pack the soil around each pole. This would have assisted in minimising the whole structure from increased waving and wobbling. On a windy or stormy day, I would not remain in it. However, aesthetically it is a charmingly delightful temporary outbuilding.

This is basically an elevated tent. Plumb, level and square isn’t an issue. Pretty nice. These guys rock and rolled with this dwelling.

As an architect, i do like the design. But this „house“ won‘t resist a strong rain with strong winds. It shakes when they walk over it. It could have been minimized if the columns weren‘t so high and without cross elements to fixate them.

These fellows know their craft. Even if things sway a bit, they are comfortable with the improvement of the structure. The joinery skills are amazing to me! They make economic use of materials and even their human labor is disciplined.

Думаю, сам дом слабо подходит для жилья, трясётся, ступеньки маленькие, сам дом небольшой, будет протекать. Но как замысел и оземление его - замечательно. То есть можно сделать и больше и более укрытым. Пожалуйста, самостоятельно и без лишних утруждений, без стороннего труда и приспособлений.

Anyone know what happens to these buildings after they are built. Something I’ve been curious about.
unfortunately a lot of these cool builds are just left to break down over time and never touched again, a lot of times tools and machines are used during the making of these builds, thats why you can hear a chainsaw running at random times in the start of the video, and a lot of trash gets left over from building crew.

A bit of trivia, did you know that the traverse for building the tall skyscrapers in Hong Kong were all made useing bamboo. Can't go wrong with bambo.

As with so many "modern" designs it's completely impractical:
1) It will blow away in the next major windstorm and be uncomfortable in minor winds.
2) It is farther to climb.
3) Most importantly, neither walls or roof are even mildly rain-proof so "house" is not the right word in a rain forest.
Great build, and excellent design, how are they going to weatherize it and will it withstand monsoon season?
they need to spray foam insulation between the inner and outer walls to water proof. stiffen up and insulate LOL
