One more time: Great Class!
I guess the mute "k" is in words like:
Know
Knew
Knee
Knife
Knucle
Knock
I'm from Argentina, spanish speaker, and your lesson are helpping me a lot
Hello my friend, let me try to answer your question. As I just get the answer from chatgpt, the silent "k" in the word "know" is a result of the historical development of the English language. Therefore, I think the "k" in these words may not be related to the topic of this video. Because coach Shane is talking about the cancellation of these letters when we say them or pronounce them. The "k" in these words such as "know" is muted, is owing to the language development. People in the past, they did not mute the “k” in "know".
Your way of teaching is The best way i have ever come across..... from Pakistan
You're the best
Thank you very much!!
coachshanesesl what about this Shane *she laughs at* any cancelation between F and S ?

Thank you for your great job
Youre professional, for sure.
Coach Shane, I like your "cancellation matrix". I have listened to some English coaches on UA-cam, but I have never learned about this theory of cancellation.
May I know whether you created the theory of cancellation matrix by yourself or based on the general habits of speaking in America, just like "going to", "want to" become "gonna", "wanna"?
That's a very useful theory, I like it very much.
Hope to hear from you soon. Thanks.
Best regards,
Melvin

great stuffs here!
Наставник (учитель) Шейн, Вы - лучший. Привет из России.Teacher Shane, you are the best. You should know it. :) Hello from Russia!
love u Shane :3
Great Video! Can you Please elaborate little bit more on mouth positions, So that the correct sound is released?
Very vibrant videos! As a native New Yorker, I can strongly attest that the "t" cancellation almost never happens in Northeast American English. InTernet. InTernational. WinTer. HunTer. If I hear the cancellation on the street I can bet that the speaker isn't a native. Just my bit!
+David DiLillo While I might agree to a sound reduction to explain the correct pronunciation, I cannot go so far as to admit to a cancellation. It isn't always easy to find the right words. It is nice for him to throw it out there for discussion. It does get people thinking.
THUMBS UP^^
Thank you
Thanks a lot
you are the best teacher for sure! :) ive tried so many times to pronounce words with an american accent, i tried anything and it didnt really work.... youre the only teacher who really helped me doing it! keep doing those videos they are very very helpful.

I wanna ask you a question about the frequency of using these similar phrases : tangle with/associate with/get involved with somebody. Could you refer some more phrases of these. Because i am always confused when my peers say i use lots of passive vocabulary in English. Billion thanks my pep-talk, adorable uncle Shane!
You're great. Grammar is very important; however, in real life, It's the pronunciation what counts.
Shane you are the best! i noticed that when the words like "elect, evict, addict, perfect, reject" some people don't make that 'C" sounds as a clear "K",instead it's more like a stop "c",is't true?
very well!! teacher and when a word finish with "NT" for example reatauraNT, vacaNT.... the T is stop T? or I drop the T? what about the T sound? thanks so much

Hi coach. Can u make for us video. How to adjust ur American accent . thanks
Another question, wondering if I bothered u??? a more common used phrase of the idiom "blow sth out of proportion in spoken language". And i heard a similar phrase of this one from drama "Switched at birth" more bay drama then googled it but couldn't find out. I dont wanna jump to conclusion but i thought that phrase has a context-based meaning, doesn't it?
How do i pronounce intention in American English. Should i omit the Ts?
Strong sound as i known also got a " Ch" sound. We might not flat it on the sentences, is this correct?
Copy that, thanks so much!
thnx
Sir can you explain how to pronounce constant continental stability capacitor inductor and usually
"Let's cook pasta." I don't hear a perfect k in this sentence
When two plosive consonants are placed against each other, the preceding one are unreleased (not saying fully). Plosive consonants are /p/, /t/, /k/.
what complicate is to learn english with some many rules, for example you take off letter on the words or paste it talk very quicly.
i have a question shane
for example "mask" s pronounciation in english a: sound but in american it is æ
can we say that all americans use æ sound every time unlike english people do a: sound
how do you do! i'm Duy and i'm from vietnam. today, i write to you because i'm confusing about one thing. we play bowling or we go bowling???? can you help me and can you show me the rule about verb sports. i'm looking forward to hear from you
