Check out my other EFL/ESL channels, too!
Feel free to add your questions down below. I do have HUNDREDS of requests, but I usually shoot just a few videos a month...so you MIGHT get lucky!
I make videos for EFL/ESL students. I'm from the US and my teaching focuses on American pronunciation and American culture. I hope my videos help you out^^ I love constructive criticism, but keep it nice!
I laughed when you said "don't finnish the D, I'd go, I'd Go", but it was the best way I could feel the vibration of the sound. Thanks a lot.
"If you can say it , you can hear it" , that's the truth! I've been practicing English pronunciation and listening for 6 months , a year ago I couldn't understand what Native American speakers was saying to me , but once I started to learn these pronunciations my English got better than before, at the moment I can actually understand what people is talking about , tho I have some mistakes still, like grammar , but you know, you can improve them just practicing , thanks for the videos and you just earn yourself +1 subscriber :)
Sensei = The best teacher.
It was Just what I was missing, I always wanted to learn how to pronounce these contractions
"If you can say it , you can hear it" ...

thank you so much teacher! I like to learn native pronunciation. Gracias!
Love you Shane !
Thank you very much!!
coachshanesesl how I pronounced asked them
How do I differentiate between the "D" if it is of would or had?
Wondering how you'll pronounce the sentence "you'd been there?". What I mean is whether the "n" sound and the "th" sound is linked. And because it's a question, how would we raise the tone at the end of the sentence?
You are really good coach! Thank you so much.
Very helpful class, thank's!
Thanks man .
Thanks a lot
Thank you coach Shane! Very helpful! But I have another question, could you please tell me how to pronounce "Will you" and "Until you"?
Hi! My name is Cherry. I am from Vietnam. Could you help me how to make stop sounds such as /t/, /d/, /k/, /g/,... at the end of words, please? because I would like to make my speech become smoother. Hope to hear from you. Thank you.
Your lesson has cleared many doubts... Can you please tell me how to pronounce that'd...
And yes, I'll be thankful to you if you could tell me how and when to use 'can and could', 'will and would', 'shall and should'
THANKS, SHANE, GREAT VIDEO.
Thanks, coach!
Wonderful,useful!
If it don't finish the d sound how do I get to understand it ?
Thank u to your teaching!!
Good Video. I helps me to pronounce short forms. Thanks
This video is really helpful, thank you.
Thats so hard for me, but I won't give up pronouncing all them properly
Is this sound similar to a glottal stop but with vibration of the vocal cords?
The vibration happens UP TO the stop. The stop could happen in the glottal region, but the Stop D sound is usually on the alveolar ridge.
When it'd be the contraction form of would or had then how to know that it would be had or would?
Thanks for the video sir,
But it's too difficult to pronounce "It'd", when i tried it sounds like "it did".. It is hard because "it" ends with consonant letter and also "they'd" because "they" ends with "y" in it.
this is what i'm looking for, thanks coach shane :)))
So there is no diffrenses between had and would pornonce?!
Funny and very helpful, thanks
Thank U so much Profesor. I'd like to see a New Videos :) Blessing

Do you have a class about how to pronounce the words: wouldn't, can't, couldn't, shouldn't? Saying the end of these words is so hard>

What words could mean I'd, you'd, he'd, she'd, it'd, we'd, and they'd ?
I answered your question on Podcast 6!
well, if u can say it, u can hear it, if u can say it like a native english speaker, then u can hear it but say it once, it's not enough, u have to practice and practice makes perfect??? No!! perfect practice makes perfect! :)) no Train no Gain

Learning STOP SOUNDS is one of the toughest--perhaps one day you can join me in a LIVE class and I'll show you how to do it!
Wow thanks so much! I'm learning English 'cause I'm Italian, and my worst doubt was the "you'd, I'd" pronounce :D
Thanks Shane. The lesson is helpful. Would like to know when to connect the sound d and r and when not? In the example: "He'd read" is connected while in "they'd read" is not? Thanks a lot!
