Hahaha can’t tell if this is sarcastic or not but I can tell you our neighborhood is very supportive and proud of the show for sure…we’re lucky to have such good neighbors for sure!
Maybe when you do the driveway matrix video, you can also mention what effect you're using on the garage doors / driveway and mega trees at 0:40 - I've seen that effect in a few shows, and really have no idea what that is in xLights - is it plasma or something??
I noticed the street light on the left side is on at the start of each song, then goes out when the show starts. Do you have control over that? Or does the light make it turn off?
So I had wires 3 pixels up over the sensor to be “ on” during the show which tricks the sensor thinking it was day time. After my show I would turn those pixels off and the light would come back on no damage done. The city did take notice though and made me take it down couple weeks into the show :/
@@AVeryMerryMeridian Could you make a movie where you show everything you've got but taken off? Cables, lamps, computer, power supplies, etc. I am very curious about it. I know you've already made a similar video, but it was all at home. If you take these decorations off, will you record a video?
You can keep the costs down by doing more yourself, but you pay in the form of hours. I spent way too many hours this year soldering together controllers, and making a set of pigtails for my mega tree - the controllers were probably half what buying them assembled is, but took more than a week of evenings soldering (but I have many many empty ports for expansion, so hopefully this set of controllers will last me for a very long time), and the mega tree pigtails were mostly just because I didn't think to order what I needed, and when I did think about it, everything was sold out already, so I put 16 pigtails together myself, but again multiple evenings of soldering together wires, heatshrinking, and tape. I also don't like to think about the total cost too much, but it adds up. And then there's all the last minute stuff you didn't think about when you go to actually put a mega tree up for the first time - couple trips to the hardware store, and another $200 later in ground anchors, turnbuckles, S hooks, landscape stakes, etc etc... ;) But, on the upside, 2 days after my mega tree went up (which was only a little over a week ago, because stuff was super delayed this year), I had people driving by to see it, and people were saying "I heard there was a huge new tree that just went up, so I had to come see it" - I hope the traffic doesn't get too intense next year :)
Your neighbors must love you

Well done👌👌
Made the trip from northern valley. Loved the show. We’ll done. Would love to see a how to video on the driveway matrix.
Thanks for the love! Yeah I’ll definitely do a video of that before I take it down next week

Lol nice 😊
Read the description on how this one ended up being in the show. Enjoy it for what it is :)
Good choice! And I’m sure your neighbor who requested it appreciated the effort! 🥰

@@AVeryMerryMeridian Hahaha... well that's unfortunate. But a good fix while it lasted.
How much did all the lighting in the house cost? For everything, computer, power supplies etc.
We don’t keep track on purpose…too depressing lol!

@@filip9825 I’ll see what I can do
