Great video, Its nice to see a young couple with the skills to enjoy the great outdoors.
Your video coverage is amazing
Great video Emily, it’s interesting to see the different types of fish you guys have up there. The fish wrapped in bacon at the end looked amazing!
This is one of THE BEST vids I've seen on fishing in Maine! Some folks are just natural at making vids and you got it. My wife and I tried to get into Allagash Lake through the stream about 8 years ago and the bottoms of our kayaks were pushing mud. The water was low. We gave up and went back. I'm subscribing. Keep 'em coming. We are from the north too.
Love your video beautiful country
You guys are fun to watch. This lake is on my list 🤟🏼
What a phenomenal day of fishing! My wife and I Iived up there briefly (T9R11) working the camps for a friend. Definitely enjoying your videos. I miss that life.
Thank you for taking us a long with you two. I'm mad you got all the fish, lol. I enjoyed viewing your fishing trip. Never made it that far north always had 8-10 guys fishing( Munsungan Spelling)-Chase Lake as far as we made it. The stream out had so some many brook trout that you almost be able walk across on them .I like Maine girls outta state girls bad news.
Awesome vid. I’m over in VT and you really capture the remote wild parts of NE super well.
Awesome video. You two are a riot out there. Beautiful fish.
The bacon wrapped togue looks good, will have to try it.
A must try!

The trip there we took so many years ago - we went ashore around noon and cooked bacon-wrapped brookies with potatoes & onions in foil.
A great tradition, and I'm wishing I was back there, right now!
nice and quiet up there, I had a camp on Millinocket Lake
😮New Subscriber here today, Love the fishing for trout. I can Definitely Respect the Fact you are trying to curb the swearing. I have been trying to cut back myself plus im introducing my great grandsons ( twin boys 7 yrs old ) to trout fishing and want tjem to watch respectable shows.
Bear Grease Nation! Headed to the Allagash in two weeks.
You got it goin your way. Good video and great fish to
The new name threw me off for a minute lol. I like the new name !!! Nice trip guys :)
You was just cranking Great fishing!!
Those are some really nice brookies!
Great video! You may look at a katadyn base camp filter for your trips instead of lugging water. I run it into a 5 gallon bucket with a lid. Drill a 1/4 on the side of the bucket at the top for the tube and put a water spicket on the side at the bottom. I store stuff in the bucket for transport to maximize space. Keep it up!
Thanks for the advice, i'll look into that brand
Great video. I hope the sun came out for you.
OMGoodness, Ive only caught stocked trout here in
Massachusetts. What is a Touge ? Those brookies etc are GORGEOUS Colors ..vWow. Happy for you Both.
Togue is another name for lake trout
Nicely filmed, beautiful squaretail!
This brings back some great memories - fished the same area many years ago. Took a nice togue trolling w/ lead core line in the lake, used the ol' standby - Mooselook Wobbler.
Really enjoyed, thanks...
Nice brookies. Pretty sure I passed you on the golden road yesterday somewhere around 6-6:30
Awesome video! Those are some nice brookies! I have to ask, what was the tent you guys were using? My two older boys are in Boy Scouts and I love the way it just unfolds like that!
Ever see any " Strange " animals etc up North there ? We do here in New Hampshire.. all over the place right into Massachusetts. First Nations, Native American friends call them SABAE,, ( Sasquatch , Hairy Man, Keeper of the Forests, Watcher of the Woods, Big Foot etc ) Had some intense Encounters... Stay Safe, Healthy and Blessed my friends.
Are there any places to fish if disabled from shore not too far from truck ? I need double knee replacements plus developed Neuropathy in rt foot so difficult to walk now for last two yrs, sucks !! But could be worse. Peace...
Caught a 19" brookie trolling a mooselook a few years back on Pemadumcook. Never fished Allagash lake however. It's on my bucket list tho. ;-) Btw, great video, ty
what's the name of that camp site you guys are at in the video ? After you paddled trough the creek.
Oh and what the heck were using for bait to catch all those fish?
This lakes fishing regulations are ALO (artificial lure only) so different lures that resemble the color of smelt. Silver and blue is most popular
Is that a Penobscot 174 canoe?
No this is a 173 old town discoverer
You had me till you stomped the fall fish. No one wants to catch them but they are native and a solid part of the eco system. They are all over the Allagash but they always have been
Why don't you just fish and not show the name of the pond. By posting the name it ruins the pond from overuse and makes a lot of mad for spoiling it.
I share the name of this lake because unfortunately it needs more people to fish it, and keep their limit of fish so we can better the brook trout population that’s being overrun by over populated togue. This lake is remote access, so you have to paddle in through beaver flowages from a neighboring pond. It’s also traditional so there are no motors or electric anything’s allowed, not even pedal kayaks. So that’s why I share this lake, cause only the true fisherman will attempt to access, this isn’t for the lazy and weak.
@@AGirlFromMaine It's also VERY remote. I appreciate them telling the location. Even residents like us want to know. Few people will ever be blessed to experience it.
Because the Allagash is easy to access and will attract huge crowds?🤷♀️ Dude I don’t think the spot burning argument is necessary here.
Please leave the fish in the water if your releasing. Bouncing its head on the bottom of the canoe is horrible. if you're going to make videos, please demonstrate the proper way of handling Fish with respect. Burning fishing spots it's not good for the resource.
