A great video showing why we all hunt the Maine woods during November! The quiet, the sounds, watching a moose browsing by, and then the sudden rush of seeing a buck! We all miss at one time or another. My time was in 1995 when the biggest buck I've ever seen followed a doe right across in front of me....5 shots at less than 40 yards went harmlessly into the ground as my saucered eyes stared at his giant rack!!! It's 30 years later next November and you will always find me back in the Maine woods each year as I have for the past 45!!! Thank you for the video!

I walked to where the deer was standing when I shot looked back saw a small llimd swinging in the breeze guess my trophy was a garter inch fir limb got him a week later weighed five tons mile from my truck back of a beaver pondworth itthough he was working his scrape line

Awesome Keenan! That was a lot of work and those aluminum ladders are so bouncy when they're extended that high. It's looking more and more like a home!

I hoe you are feeling some satisfaction for how your home is coming along. You are doing a great job! I can feel the burn in my legs wen you carry the logs up the ladder, lol!

Melatonine is a hormone. Try doing exercises when anxiety hits. I found heavy weights to be very effective for that. If you do it regularly you will also find that anxiety would not hit you as often as it did

I know how much time and effort it takes to produce a video, and so with everything going on for you and Keaton these days these little glimpses into your progress are much appreciated. Keaton is killin' it at the cabin! As a side note, my "gut problems" began to resolve when I gave up wheat gluten. Turns out I had been having full blown symptoms of celiac disease for years and had no idea. Not knowing your situation, if you haven't ruled it out it might be worth talking about it with your doc next time you see them. Take Care!

Any hunter who says they've never been there is lying. Buck fever is a real thing. Be grateful for the opportunity. A lot of hunters don't even see a deer during the season let alone a nice buck to shoot at. Thanks for posting.

As a young hunter I missed one of the biggest bucks I ever laid eyes on. It sucked. I wanted to quit. My dad talked me down and said he's missed his share. It's about learning from it and getting the next one. Fast forward 35+ years and I've shot more than my share. I am now passing these life lessons on to my daughters! Stay the course and learn from your mistakes.

Been there done that. At least you didn't wound him and not find him. The adrenaline hits me so hard, I don't even hear my shots really and I have to piece together what actually happens in my blind after. I've gotten four nice bucks during my time hunting, called in others I haven't got a shot off at due to them moving, buck fever is unreal when it hits. Don't beat yourself up to hard, replaying it over and over in your head just makes memories that last a lifetime.

What kind of crust was that - I never seen a brown crust. Was it wheat? Also I never seen a pie filled with stew. It looks so amazing. I wish I was their having dinner with you guys. I would love the opportunity to be able to work on a cabin. Sorry if I come off weird, but I'm a city boy. Happy Holidays and keep up the good work.
