I've done this hack and it does extend the range. The problem is , once you turned off, the range is "reset". and reverts to original even with the foil in place and not disturbed. something in power up adjusts.

The little bit I know about detectors I would guess it creates a ground plain. And as you suggested focuses the radiant signal. I heard a little about Saturday and would love to see any footage you captured. Be well
with it on have you tried wrapping the coil section of the pointer with metal foil, then turning it off to reset it, does it detect it or would the foil act as a extension, im waiting on a Sunpow arriving tomorrow im gonna try that with it, thanks for sharing.

think if you increase the number of turns of the copper coil of the receiver, the performance of the device may change and it will pick up at a longer distance
dey rip us off whit pinpointer big time.. this is why😊 dey f leazy to bring out a good pinpointer for a normal price.. if a simple lil part of metal increase the range . why are dey asking 170 euro o a 100. if you can get the same for 16 euro .
I bought one too, the ferrite core can be “pushed” down without opening the device like most do on UA-cam; just tap the point firmly on the table or other surface and the core will pushed to the end of the tube, you will gain about 1 centimeter more…
Shouldn’t be encouraged to buy cheap clones using stolen American Tech… Its like bragging about pan handling.. it’s one thing to do it out of necessity, it’s quite another thing to talk about it and work out the best way to beg/steal.

Can yuo made a vlf metaldetector or coil to detect1/60cm depth.? 😍
I don't know but if a detector will reach an inch it will reach more then 1/60cm. It will detect everything within its range.
I’m not familiar with the theory behind this mod, but I wonder if size and type of metal would play a role in the amount of distance gained
