Man I’m from the uk, 20 and I’m cringing at the disrespect to jay rock, denzel curry, ASAP Rocky and other US artists. I get they can make bad songs but the fact yall don’t even know your own people is crazy… some of these mfs be changing/influencing the whole of hip hop and yall don’t even know. Crazy.
Just a suggestion, but yall need to tap in to your own sound a bit deeper. UK mfs will never rate US artists cuz of their wordplay/entendres. They find it ‘corny’ and don’t find that shit to be serious. Listening to UK drill for a long time will make you think US rap is soft. But Na you just gotta understand each side.

Like for 5/6 years just understanding/ educating myself on hip hop but at the same time I was so detached from the uk scene that it was embarrassing. Stared getting deep into grime/drill and now I’m a balanced individual

Jay Rock also a very good artist, has had one of the best features on the Good Kid M.a.a.d City. Rocky one of the most iconic rappers from the last decade, having great albums, influencing fashion etc.
