That’s what’s made the Lakers enticing to superstars. They will do anything to keep their stars happy and role players unfortunately end up getting the short end of the stick. The highs are extremely high but the lows are very low. If you underperform you get ridiculous like crazy but if you bring home rings, you’re loved and appreciated more than anyone and the team will take care of you until you retire.

That is the absolute worst and most copium filled logic I’ve heard “well most 55th picks are trash anyways so let’s just pick a below avg player when there are better options available”
I thought that at first, but I saw a good statistical breakdown of it. Late second round picks almost always amount to nothing, so the opportunity cost of the pick is extremely low. So basically, choose anyone you want, and picking your star's son is as good logic as anything (and as likely to amount to turn out successful). That's not to say I like their pick, but the logic is sound.

Lakers fans from let's say Pittsburgh PA for example or what's even worse is the city you live in has a NBA team but you cheer for Lakers... I don't mind the ones from other countries but even then I am always questioning the character of all band wagon fans who only cheer for teams on top or only follow big franchises. When I started watching NBA back in early 90s I lived in Germany and everyone was either Bulls, Lakers, Knicks fan and there I was with my Reggie Miller jersey probably the only Pacers fan in the country.

Patty Mills was drafted 55th overall in 2009 & has played 15 years in the league. Don't recall him having a famous basketball playing father to leverage getting himself drafted.
I think it's remarkable Bronny is able to even play basketball after what he went through. I'm rooting for him to earn his minutes & show he can play in the league but he's definitely got a long way to go before he can enter the conversation of best player picked at #55 in the draft, let alone being an NBA player.

The truth is there is no comparison because Bronny is the worst draft pick in NBA history. There is no comparison you can make that would make his stats look good.
