Fantastic job on the video! Sounds like the lens will focus faster on newer Sony cameras, so that's good to know. I was only able to try it on an a6000 and a7S. It was fine but not the fastest in AF-S. With AF-C in video it tended to hunt a lot on those cameras. Though, at least on the a7S I was able to put it into manual focus and then do singular AF so it's at least usable in video on the camera. 👍
I do love a pancake lens. I often take my Olympus 17mm 2.8 out as a walk around lens. I have the silver one and I put it on my old, silver Olympus EPL-1, which is pocketable. However, my favourite is actually my Pentax 40mm XS 2.8. It is tiny, at 1½cm thick and it has full autofocus (including a manual focus ring). It goes from f2.8 to f22 and it's very sharp.
I was looking for a pancake lens multiple times but I found only APS-C ones for E-mount so I directly ordered this lens now and can't wait to test it. Thanks for the video! I would have missed it otherwise.

For $99, just get this full frame version. It'll work absolutely fine and will cut out some of the vignetting at the corners. Or do you need it to be a 28mm equivalent after the crop?
F4.5 means you don't go outside when it's dark outside, and a kit lens like 28-70 has a f3.5 and it's usually cheaper used and more practical. This will be bought by geeks and trend walkers that like new and small stuff that only encourages China bought products.

Ah, fair enough. For what mount? Sony? There are very few AF pancake lenses around. If you don't mind MF lenses then you have a few more options.
