The character I played in the dark heresy role playing game where armed with five disposable missile launchers, two frag, two krak and one loaded with a plasma missile. Our tech priests failure to properly identify the true nature of the plasma warhead resulted in a major supprise for my character, the rest of group and the partly manifested grater deamon who got sent back to the warp with a face full of hot plasma.
GrimDark Narrator we had a servitor who's only purpose of existence was to carry our extra equipment. My character suffered from a unique mental illness that made him catatonic unless he had five or more weapons on his person at any time, his equipment for a combat Misson: a triplex pattern lasgun, a single disposable missile launcher and four large caliber auto pistols and as many extra bullets and charge packs he could carry. That illness was a epic detriment during low key operations but in an all out fight he always had enough weapons and ammunition to see it through. Later in his career he picked up training with almost every type of weapon employed by the imperium , that fact gave rise to his nickname, the emperors multitool.
As far as I'm concerned, pretty much every weapon spotlight episode so far has been 'the definitive lore video' on the subject. Eagerly anticipating where this will head next.
And some people say they have not place in 40K, then I show them Clone Troopers with shotguns, no seriously this really happened, there were also combi weapons used by ARC Troopers, blaster & slug weapon combo
Some weapons have just reached the pinnacle of their development, so I'm sure we'll see versions of shotguns or other weapons like that in the future as well, since they are perfect for what they're meant to do.
Missile Launchers? Really, they have both Space Marines and Imperial Guard oh except Chaos Space Marines can use Missile Launchers. 6:28 Terminator Squad can use Cyclone Missile Barrage to fire at enemies.

Sounds like your character was overcompensating for something with all those launchers :P How did he carry 5, anyway.

For When a .75 cal bolter shell is not enough send a missile.
.75 missiles :D
Great content Grim, a couple of launchers I have never heard of, ie land mine launcher. My choice would be the virus launcher though. 👍

Ahhh the missile launcher know to the guardsman as a big ass gun, to the space marine, a single shot bolter.
Firing oversized bolts :D

GrimDark Narrator 1 of the most reliable weapons, besides axes & knives
I want to hear more about the vortex missiles.
GrimDarkNarrator - I need your help. I am dedicated to Slaanesh, but a past... friend... Nurgle sent me a bouquet from his garden. What should I do?
Must be Slaanesh testing you. If those were really from Nurgle's Garden, you would've been dead before they got within a mile of you.
GrimDark Narrator - The flowers literally whispered "rot".
"Putting the miss in missile launchers ."
Rocket then :P
