I have many tattoos - got them before I was saved by the blood of Yhwh. I am an ex witch who was deceived for many years. Anywho- I have been redeemed for all of my sins - tattoos & witchcraft - ALL of my sins! For my sins have been paid for IN FULL. No works other than my changed heart! Glory to Yah! HalleluYAH!!!
@@user-wq2gs8eu7l That is in no way accurate. Repentance is in the heart. Yhwh knows my heart. Whether you think it’s okay or not - that’s you but I know my Christ and savior loves me and already paid that debt. Another important question is, “Am I trying to draw attention to myself, and also to fit in with the current culture or trends. Some current trends are tattoos, cursing, and rap music. They all really go together very well, but are inappropriate for Christians.
There is an extremely fine line between satan’s deception and God’s truth. Thank you God for giving Dr John the understanding for always following and preaching the truth.
I'm saved, and always grew up with a conviction against tattoos. But as I stopped heeding the word of God I felt really tempted to get a tattoo, but I would always stopped myself because I knew the reason for them were not good and one I would regret later on. So I never got them, but you are right that many churches today are approving of them in their congregation and promote it also, I attended a few and almost fell for it but I always had that conviction that I would give an account for that and that my intentions were not good at all for them. Unfortunately for other sins I did fall into them but thank God he forgives and redeems
I am glad to hear that you have an angel 😇 watching over you to keep you from making a mistake you will regret later in life. Tattoos don't look so cool after so many years go by. I don't have any and will stay that way. 😊
I come from a time when even the world thought it shameful to have tattoos. We're now in a time of "personal conviction" and fear of man preaching. Now the children are embolden to get such things. Truly these are perilous times.
Yes, Mel Cooley you’re gonna answer for your church not baptizing me because I had tattoos that’s OK there are plenty of real churches in the Bible belt who are willing to baptize me with my tattoos
I will save this class & lisen to it several times! This is absolutely spot on, so clear, & so, so important. For years now, I've seen so, so many females utterly caked in makeup & fake everything. It's now at an all time high. These females rationalize the attire, heavy "make-up," gaudy jewelry, & they essentially show off; parading the world on their bodies. They adamantly (& often angrily) refuse to be guided to the truth of Scripture you've taught here.
As a wayward person I got many tattoos. Now I would never get more. I have been forgiven for all my past sins, missing the mark, all wrongs. Blessed with salvation and sealed with the Holy Spirit. I am not any where perfect, who but the God of all is! Father Son Holy Spirit… I am work in progress and continue to repent and turn further from my sin. New creation toddler learning all there is. This teaching was important.
I was in the US Navy/USMC in the 1980's, had plenty of opportunities to get marked up. Then a licensed nurse for 34 years, so basically I am not afraid of needles. I always felt it is not acceptable to mark up your body. I absolutely hate the last 2 generations of people marking themselves up looking like out of work circus carnies. I forbid my kids to get tattoos but all but one has done it. Our body is a gift and belongs to God. We are only using them to learn how to return to God. I am not without sin but getting a tattoo is one sin I don't have.
You know a sin by its addictive quality and when the world is doing it. All who sin are slaves, which is addiction. If you had a tattoo before you had maturity in the spirit, don't sweat it. It's not a big deal. The motive behind it is the deal. Ask yourself why you got a tattoo, or why you might want one. Even if you are getting 'Christian' tattoos, it's still off. Maturity says don't.
It is not what is on the outside that defiles a man but rather what is in his heart ! If our hearts are right before God, we will be given a new set of clothes to enter in to Heaven !
Being with a Church family would be a prayer answered... id give anything to have a church family to worship our king of kings ,lord of lords. I have no church, the internet has been my church for the last 2yrs. I do count my blessings though, I could be having to go underground or hide my faith .. so im thankful and blessed. God bless all my brothers and sisters out there. I love you all..
Outstanding message! I’ve suggested for years that those that lead in song before the congregation do so behind a curtain. Never heard anyone suggest that. Our nature is such that we are prone towards pride and showmanship. Thank you! God bless
Yep. Did it many yrs ago with a friend who paid for it if I went first. It hurt, I hated it and I still do. I never show it. If I could afford to have it removed, I would and if I had to, I would remove it with a cheese grater. Now I show others who may want a tattoo. I tell them how horrible I feel having it and it will be there for life. Seemed "cool" at the time but very uncool to God. Also not very cool as you get older ;)
To judge another requires that I lie to myself and ignore my own sins. All fall short - all of us. The important part is; which way we are going, not where we came from.
Many young people seem to be into the body ink. I asked several why they do it. They like it was the answer I got. So it seems to me to be a self centered, prideful, rebellious act to fit in with the others of their generation. I was recently hospitalized and the majority of folks who took care of me were inked up. They cared for me well, but I began to feel surrounded by demons. Pleasing God is more important than pleasing others or self. Just my honest opinion.
Yes it is sad to see so many without understanding for His ways. And that ink is a gateway for demons for some. I saw something about how those spirits enter on a channel called "Follow The Lamb Today", another place still speaking the truth straight from the Scriptures, you may like it too.
People get wrapped up in their own time frame. In ancient times, slave owners tattooed their human property. During the holocaust, jews were tattooed. Always a sign of ownership. People today are under the illusion it is different on modern times. Peace, love, joy & hope are very rarely the theme. Your intention & public reaction doesn't harmonize: especially if someone takes offense or feels threatened.
I have alot of tattoos and all were gotten before I really thought about it being a problem and I was also not fully reborn yet. I love god with all my heart and he has all my faith. If some tattoos were to keep me from being raptured that is gods Judgement. The lord is my life and I will do anything he ask of me. God bless Jesus...AMEN!
Thank you John for this teaching. This question came up recently and I tried to respond but realized I was not prepared adequately to direct the person to God's word specifically. To me that means all I did was give my opinion which is meaningless if I can't direct them to scripture so they can have a firm foundation based on God's Word and not just my 'opinion'. I am grateful to God for you and your wife, for you faithfulness to teach God’s word. Not to detract from this teaching but I encourage you to research Chic-fil-a corporate, it appears the company now incorporating worldly views (DEI). They might not be a good 'example' anymore. Hope I'm wrong but they appear to be embracing worldly values.
I don't know if you thought of this, many don't. You could Google "bible on tattoos" currently Google will respond. I'm waiting for the day this changes. However today, it responded with "Leviticus 19:28 You shall not make any cuts in your body for the dead nor make any tattoo marks on yourselves: I am the Lord." There were several options. 1 link said the bible has 25 references. When I don't know an answer I look for it bc my memory is damaged.
I would be interested in hearing Dr. John Barnett’s commentary on the verse before the one referencing tattoos in Leviticus (Lev 19:27) that speaks to not cutting hair on the sides of your head or trimming your beard. My understanding is that there were specific types of haircuts and beard trimmings that related to pagan deity rituals that this verse is addressing rather than the general act of cutting off your hair.
Exactly. Nor were they to wear mixed linens. These verses were spoken to a specific people who were involved in pagan rituals trying to communicate with the dead. They were chastised and given a set of rules as punishment for their actions because they were so involved in what they were doing that their rituals had become more important to them than thei relationship with God. Far too many people bounce around the Bible picking and choosing scriptures out of context in order to support their own narrative. The same can be done with virtually any book.
When one argues in this manner, one argues in the heart and rebels against man (1Cor 3:1-23). js Let us instead look inward in the deepest part of Truth (Psalm 51) and do what is Righteous to and for our Creator. If our body IS His Temple (1Cor 3:17) because He created us then... "Knowing therefore the terror of the Lord, we persuade men; but we are made manifest unto God; and I trust also are made manifest in your consciences. For we commend not ourselves again unto you, but give you occasion to glory on our behalf, that ye may have somewhat to answer them which glory in appearance, and not in heart. For whether we be beside ourselves, it is to God: or whether we be sober, it is for your cause. For the love of Christ constraineth us; because we thus judge, that if one died for all, then were all dead: and that he died for all, ---->>> that they which live should not henceforth live unto themselves, but unto him which died for them, and rose again."

I remember reading that the body is the temple and we are not to defile it. But some people will say that this refers to the church. But I think it funny that when they make reference to the church that they use the human body to explain it.
As a Coptic Orthodox Christian (but American), every church member I know has a small wrist tattoo of the Christian cross. Should I get one? No, I've decided not to, and this video confirms my decision. If I'm ever worthy of Heaven, a tattoo won't make any difference.

Hello CDM my sister in Christ. This is my first comment on UA-cam but felt compelled to do so. God revealed himself to you and accepted you tattooed and all. You're a new creature in Christ, all things have become new. If the mighty creator of all accepted you the way you are everyone professing Jesus should also, not giving their opinion on what you should do but God's. You sister have a powerful testimony and God has a job for us all. What person can say remove your tattoos when God may want to use them to reach someone who was deceived like you. You are blessed with the knowledge and experience to share the Word with those from your past. The Bible says work out your salvation with fear and trembling. I say let much prayer, scripture, and the conviction of the Holy Spirit be your guide.
I see tattoos as an act of rebellion. Long before God saved me I read Leviticus 19:28 and it always stuck in my mind. I never will tattoo God's temple. I will never criticize you for doing it, it is your choice. When I see Christian Pastors covered in tattoos I ask myself why, why do they do that. It's worldly for sure.
I remember asking a popular ministry, "How can you reconcile God's call for us to be holy with tattoos." They were defending tattoos. Their written response to me was a Straw Man attack. NOTHING Biblical for their defense. Without knowing who I am or seeing me, they called me fat and made fun of what they thought I looked like. They criticized me for wearing makeup and tried to equate makeup and tattoos. They knew that I am a woman, and tried to equate having babies with getting tattoos. They tried to rip me to shreds and shame me because I even asked that question. I could hardly believe it! (I'm a mother of 5, a lap swimmer and I wear no makeup or color my hair - not that any of this really matters for the argument. But they didn't know me, and that was evident in their response.) Thankfully, since my husband at one time taught logic at the college level, I knew enough to know if that was their defense, they didn't have the Biblical evidence to support their position. Even if one looks at the Deeds of the Flesh vs the Fruits of the Spirit, where do tattoos fall? They certainly are not under the Fruits of the Spirit. 16 But I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not carry out the desire of the flesh. 17 For the desire of the flesh is against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; for these are in opposition to one another, in order to keep you from doing whatever you want. 18 But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the Law. 19 Now the deeds of the flesh are evident, which are: sexual immorality, impurity, indecent behavior, 20 idolatry, witchcraft, hostilities, strife, jealousy, outbursts of anger, selfish ambition, dissensions, factions, 21 envy, drunkenness, carousing, and things like these, of which I forewarn you, just as I have forewarned you, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God. 22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law. 24 Now those who [h]belong to Christ Jesus crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. (Galatians 5) Thanks for a well done presentation!
This is a struggle. I am praying on this. I have been saved and also a tattoo artist for a long time now. I guess the first question I have is regarding verse 27 regarding length of hair and beard? What aspects in the Old Testament and more specifically what was written to the Israelites, transcend into our culture today and what one’s don’t. I shave my head and I grow and cut my beard. And so do so many. So what do we say regarding this. I would agree that the things people of the world and in this world can get as a tattoo fall in to categories of paganism and forms of idolatry. And even as a tattoo artist that pretty much only tattoos pretty things like flowers and watercolor related images… I have to admit when you strip down the very thing of why people get tattoos… there can or has to be some level of vanity in it. I’ll be speaking with my pastors more on this and praying on this.
Dear Ducky, I think you’ve answered your own questions. Almighty God is the same, unchanging God, regardless of human history or culture. As Pastor John referred to, as Believers in Christ we are to be set apart (consecrated for Christ) from the world.

@clarkridlen1966 we are called to righteous judgement, and not judge in according to appearance, which you just did in your earlier comment. Which shows your hypocrisy!
@@clarkridlen1966 Matthew 7:1 says, “Do not judge so that you will not be judged.” Jesus here is not forbidding judgment of any kind. His point is to show that some people judge from a self-righteous, condemning, and hypocritical stance. They point out slivers in the eyes of others not because they care but because they get some cheap thrill from faultfinding as if it makes them feel better about themselves. Some are so self-righteous that they are even blind to their own hypocrisy, being unable to see the log in their own eyes. Jesus is condemning self-righteousness, hypocrisy, and an inability to judge ourselves rightly, which we must do (1 Corinthians 11:29). In no way does Matthew 7:1 forbid discernment. In fact, later in Matthew 7 Christ explains that we can discern true believers from false teachers based upon their fruit. Christ’s intention is not to forbid judgment that evaluates between right and wrong, moral and immoral. What Jesus is saying is not to usurp the place of God, Who alone can cast into hell (Luke 12:5). God sees all, and He will judge sin righteously. Our job is to let God be God and to love and share the gospel with those whom we have discerned through righteous judgment to not be acting righteously. This is the point of John 7:24 which says, “Do not judge according to appearance, but judge with righteous judgment.” Righteous judgment sees sin for what it is, and it is not afraid to point it out. But this judgment becomes unrighteous when it stems from “holier-than-thou” motives or when it seeks to condemn rather than to restore. Galatians 6:1 says, “Brethren, even if anyone is caught in any trespass, you who are spiritual, restore such a one in a spirit of gentleness; each one looking to yourself, so that you too will not be tempted.” Righteous judgment recognizes that some people are spiritual and some are not, being carnal and mired in sin. If someone who is spiritual finds a brother or sister in sin, they are to restore them in a spirit of gentleness. Clearly this requires discernment and an understanding of right and wrong. Yet it need not cross into unrighteous condemning judgment. A spirit of gentleness and being intentional about seeking restoration are essential to righteous judgment. When we see a fellow Christian sin, we need to confront the sin (after we have dealt with our own hearts) but humbly, graciously, and with an understanding that we are not above the potential to do the very same thing. Unrighteous, self-righteous judgment is ugly and repulsive to a world desperately in need of Christ. If Christ judged as these folks judge, He would have never come to earth and died for us. But He loved us even while we were yet sinners and died for us (Romans 5:8). The mentality and focus of the Christian ought to be to save sinners and restore believers, not to judge and condemn, though we definitely need to exercise discernment. When Christianity deteriorates into keeping records of wrongs and looking over one another’s shoulders in suspicion and even with a hope of catching another in sin, we have fallen far from Christ’s call. In a day and age where judgment has been itself condemned, we need to judge righteously. There is a shortage of discernment in a time that demands an abundance. For the sake of the lost, for our brothers and sisters struggling with sin, for our own spiritual well-being, and for the glory of Christ, let us judge righteously and love unconditionally.
Rock solid, filled with grace and truth, we glorify Yehovah by means or our demure in our body. Yahovah is not mocked by those who make there flesh a garbage sign, AND ARE ADAMANT ABOUT IT! Take an A! glenn
I have always wondered “why” people tattoo themselves? It’s an important question. As Dr Barnett quoted in Romans, our bodies are the temple of God, so why would we modify it. Are we questioning God’s creation? Are we bringing attention to ourselves, instead of God. There are those who are tattooed but now saved. Unfortunately, I see many who claim to be saved, but make every effort to show off their tattoos by wearing clothing that is extremely revealing. If we are “truly saved” it will show in our actions and choices. I also understand some of these people believe they are saved, but if God’s word is important in their life, they should come to an understanding that certain things are not godly. Paul has made this clear that all things are permissible but not all things are expedient. Corinthians 6:12 John also brought up something else that should always be considered: does our behavior hinder others or does it help? I’m not saying everyone with tattoos should question their salvation, only those who continue to magnify it. What is more important God or the world? It’s our decision, which will affect us for eternity. Whether in judgment or rewards.
Our body, our temple is a gift from God, paid for with a high price, and is the property of Almighty God, is not to be defiled, altered or desecrated in any way. Tattoos are trashy and look horrible.
It's ok if you have a tattoo but now that you know God doesn’t like them his word is telling to get No more tatoos. Gods asking you to follow him not do what you want. God knows better then us and that is why he has his rules
I used to think that this subject didn't apply to gentiles being in a dispensation of grace and of course I did read and realize that it was prohibited for the Jewish nation to have such fleshly ornamentation or as a subject is tattoos. But as time went by and I begin to read apostle Paul's writings understanding that our bodies do not belong to us or not our own and that our bodies are as important to God as our soul and our spirit therefore giving me the understanding that we should not tattoo our bodies and that should deface another's property. So therefore he didn't know what to do good with it not him just sin. And he that it cannot do something without faith to him it is sin. I'm thankful that the scriptures are revealed to me over a period of time how important we are individually and the lives that we live for God.
Wow I don’t have any tattoos I saw in the Bible that says in Leviticus 19:28, “You shall not make gashes in your flesh for the dead, or incise any marks on yourselves.”
He book of Leviticus was the rules and laws of the Livite priesthood it was a sin for a priest to have blemishes, the Levite were to have no nation of their own as a punishment, but as a reward they were to receive the Lords lot.
The book of Leviticus was not solely for the priesthood just because the name of the book is "Leviticus". Lev. 19:2 specifically shows God telling Moses to the speak these laws to the _entire nation_ .
Is the Body not the Temple of the Almighty GOD! Leviticus 19:28 KJV: Ye shall not make any cuttings in your flesh for the dead, nor print any marks upon you: I am the LORD. ... neither shall you make in yourselves any figures or marks: I am the Lord.

I told a story on my page how a demon attached to one particular tattoo I had gotten. Any break in the integrity of our body can open the door however- and this includes things like being abused and addiction, trauma, accidents, etc. Most tattooed persons and artists I know personally have a close relationship w God and a big warm Heart. Usually because they live in high integrity.. We are judged by what is in our Heart, not by our body. I would never suggest judging a book by its cover..God is a creative artist, tattoos and art are spiritual. Although they are a break in our energy body just like an addiction to sugar is. Holy temples have artwork and carvings as decoration, and our body is a temple.
@@jamese9976 Anything that breaks the integrity of the body/temple is a sin. Including having surgery and drinking alcohol. Lying, stealing, cheating and trauma. I definitely never said the Holy Spirit guides people to get tattooed. No one is free from all sin. We already are, and will be judged by what is in our Heart. What is in our Heart and what we speak, the purity of our Heart. Not by our skin or whether or not we are tattooed.
This isn’t to be critical cause I think he’s doing a great job. But in one moment he said that in regards to what God says in Leviticus about tattoos, for himself, he didn’t need to know the Greek translation or do a lot of digging through theology books ( paraphrasing) to know what is being commanded. But as he’s reading right now, he began to reference two words for a word in the verse for temple. Wouldn’t that be some what contradictory

The Bible outlaws getting tattoos for any reason, even if the person thinks they're honoring Christ. The Lord stated in Jhn 4 that God wants to be worshiped according to the truth, and the truth is the word of God(Jhn 17:17). There is no truth in honoring God by flagrantly disobeying His commands.
Amen! Same with me.
Yes ! It does not defile the body what goes in but what comes out.
@@user-wq2gs8eu7l That is in no way accurate. Repentance is in the heart. Yhwh knows my heart. Whether you think it’s okay or not - that’s you but I know my Christ and savior loves me and already paid that debt. You’re saying ‘you’re redeemed from witchcraft but not tattoos because you still have them’ 😂🙈
@@user-wq2gs8eu7l So, the alcoholic should have the liver removed? No, its as she says in her reply. Its in the heart....now, that said. what of the Christian that tats themselves?

This is about tattoos, but also what about other bodily augmentations, such as breast implants?
Surgery (cutting) on our bodies for vanity’s sake is displeasing to the Lord. It leads to idolatry of self, if you know what I mean.
I come from a time when even the world thought it shameful to have tattoos. We're now in a time of "personal conviction" and fear of man preaching. Now the children are embolden to get such things. Truly these are perilous times.

Father Son Holy Spirit…

Agree this is the core issue.

When one argues in this manner, one argues in the heart and rebels against man (1Cor 3:1-23). js
Let us instead look inward in the deepest part of Truth (Psalm 51) and do what is Righteous to and for our Creator.

It's Just A Fad Can't You See?
No tattoos or body piercing for me,
It's just a fad can't you see?
This fad for some is just to fit in,
They will do anything to their skin.
Many will endure the pain,
Just to go against the grain.
Others think they look tough,
With all that body stuff.
Some do it thinking it's cool,
But they will end up a fool.
Their future do they really see?
This is what really bothers me.
Then again, maybe they do,
And that is their point of view.
Your body is the only one you get,
So you need to take care of it.
Tattoos and piercing will leave your body scarred,
And you will be forever marred.
A decision that people make,
That will end up a big mistake.
Since fads will come and fads will go.
Is just one reason, not to go with the flow.
Your body will never be the same
And only yourself, will be to blame.

(Galatians 5)
Thanks for a well done presentation!

Do not judge according to appearance but judge with righteous judgement.
@@beachgirl5316 Your judgement doesn't count. Don't judge lest you be judged.
So well said… what i have believed for so so long…

I don't get your notifications anymore on youtube! Sometimes I'll get 1 or 2 but mostly not.

Lev. !9:27 says not to cut the sides of your hair or shave your beard. Skipped right over that!!
For those who have negatively commented, this pastor is stating what the Holy Bible says, not his 'opinion'. God's Word over-rules all!

God says your body is his temple and we shall not mark them up. Amen🙏
Leviticus 19:28 KJV:
Ye shall not make any cuttings in your flesh for the dead, nor print any marks upon you: I am the LORD. ... neither shall you make in yourselves any figures or marks: I am the Lord.
Yeah and modifying DNA and altering the Temple blueprint is really really bad.
That's what Satan is all about. Enticing folks with science and so called "improvements" until you commit the irreversible.
This is a grave sin indeed.
You hit the nail right on the head ,, good call ! I agree….
You are eating GMO food now it’s in almost everything. Ever wear makeup or jewelry?
@@KingKongbabe makeup and jewelry are transitory and do not literally change the blueprint specifics. You can change the paint color or add some chrome and still be under an automobile warranty. Change the component parts that are considered to be what makes a car a car and your warranty is void. Manufacturer has no obligation to treat said car as an original. Parallels can be drawn.
GMO food is bad and I do choose otherwise if possible.
But what goes into a persons mouth doesn’t defile them unless eaten in disobedience, imo like swine mouse and abomination. In Matthew 15:10 the King of Glory says “…Listen and understand. 11A man is not defiled by what enters his mouth, but by what comes out of it.””

2 Kings 9:30
And when Jehu was come to Jezreel, Jezebel heard of it; and she painted her face, and tired her head, and looked out at a window.
Jeremiah 4:30
And when thou art spoiled, what wilt thou do? Though thou clothest thyself with crimson, though thou deckest thee with ornaments of gold, though thou rentest thy face with painting, in vain shalt thou make thyself fair; thy lovers will despise thee, they will seek thy life
Got a military tattoo ages ago. Dullard put it on backwards. Can’t get it removed because it’s too deep. Wish it wasn’t there because it’s almost 30 years later.
Such good teaching… amen

If you got tattoos AFTER knowing the truth then I think it’s a mortal sin, if you got tattoos BEFORE you found the word of god and asked for forgiveness after, I think your safe.
exactly....the Holy Spirit will never guide us into getting a tattoo

Request: I was unable to read the slides on Romans 14 & Questionable Things. I've looked online but cant find this list/guide. Is there a link to the list of Questionable Things guiding points. I would like to have printed copy to keep in my bible & reference. TIA
Sorry i have some tattoos. I am done with. No more. Id like to stop smoking this is not good for my body too. Yes, not my body… i get it now
Excellent Bible study
Wow, too many ads butting in to video with worldly themes and loud music.
It would only matter if you were fooled by satan and get your soul trapped in your bodies but fear and guilt is of satan and has nothing to do with CREATION
My son is 12 yrs old, I feel some of the boys are already talking about getting a secret tattoo!
Ye shall not make any cuttings in your flesh for the dead, nor print any marks upon you: I am Jehovah.
"For the dead"... This is not about body decoration, but about mourning rituals. The people of Israel adopted the customs of other nations to mutilate themselves in mourning.
I do not like the nose ring trend
The bible says many, many, many things that people just don't follow...
I was trying to listen to this while ln bed. I looked over thinkin a usb charger port i removed from an outlet couple nights before. I noticed the lower one has a safety insert, the one above has a paint stripe. No paint on the cover plate either?
At the time I really didn’t know better, but got a tattoo. It is a crown of thorns twisted into a crucifix. To go back in time I would not do it again, however, whenever somebody sees it, their perceptions are immediately changed; mostly for the worst. If anything, it exposes their inner thoughts and beliefs out into the open.
I know a man who has sleeves tattooed on his arms that depict the story of the Gospel. He goes to prisons and witnesses to hardcore criminals.
My husband, at a time of martial strife, had a tattoo of a wedding ring on his hand. He said he would never get one but he wanted to make an overture to prove his love to me.

What do you guys think about going to the gym glorifying God?
are you going to the gym to lose weight and be healthy? Or are you going to beef up so you look good to others?
@@dynamo6796ain’t nothing wrong with building muscle since it also helps burn fat as welll. If u look into the body building world they all seem to use various steroids and hormones to get those sizes
"For *bodily exercise profits a little*, but godliness is profitable for all things, having promise of the life that now is and of that which is to come." (1 Tim 4:8)
@@dynamo6796 I go to gym cuz it’s fun but I don’t do it to be boastful or idolize it. But I do build muscle and strength
If the WORDS spoken in the Bible are not spoken directly by God the Father ,God the Son or God the Holy Spirit then the WORDS are spoken by men inspired by God.
God did not pen the 66 Books of the Bible men did.
The message contained within it is what is important dot get too hung up on every fine detail.
These guys over complicate what is a fairly straightforward message.
I somehow wished my son would listen to this. He is a Joyce Mayer fan. She tells everybody their is nothing wrong with Tatoos. Because In Isaiah 49:16, it is God who has the name of God's people tattooed on God's hands. So then the argument is why is it then wrong. Even God Tatoos your name in the palm of His hand. YES to me she is a false teacher. But how do you get that accros to somebody.?
Very interesting thoughts !
Romans 12:2 is talking about living sacrifice in regards to “service”. To whom? The body of Christ, for the glory of God. Looking at commentators, no one so far have tied this verse to the outward.
The word translated "bad", here is not the Greek word that is stated here. It is "kakos (G2556): a primary word; worthless (intrinsically such...", according to Strong's Concordance and Vine's expository of New Testament words.
@panthermedicine: It’s in the bibble …… he doesn’t want us to get tattoos and I have kept that…..my body is clean.
What are you talking about? Getting a tattoo is 100% flesh-driven. NEVER will the Holy Spirit guide you into getting one Lol
Why do you shave your face? Leviticus 19:27-28 “You shall not round off the hairline of your heads, nor trim the edges of your beard. You shall not make any cuts in your body for the dead, nor make any tattoo marks on yourselves: I am the Lord.” We could say you are disobeying the text and are going along with the world. Being clean shaven sounds like the worldly Alexander the Great and all of the high class business men of Wall Street. Don’t you know that all of the Israelite men wore beards? Tattoos seem like a Romans 14 to me.
This issue has alway bothered me and from inception i have always known that tattooing is evil...

Defiling the holy temple; don’t do it. Case closed. P.S. don’t shoot the messenger, just go read the bible and take it up with God 👍🏼 Good luck and may the force be with you
Really? How many GMOs do you consume with all that fluoride in your water? Did you get your injections (vaccines) too?

What about Revelations 19:16? @DTBM
Sir
Nakaligtaan na itago ang banal na Aklat,
Na para sa banal na Aklat,
How do you feel about tattoos like “Jesus is Lord” or John 3:16? Just curious because I’ve seen those and one would say that’s their way of honoring Christ.
Kinda like blowing smoke rings for Jesus! Looks cool, Attracts a crowd, but ultimately harmful. Maybe its Permissible but surely not Beneficial?
The Bible outlaws getting tattoos for any reason, even if the person thinks they're honoring Christ. The Lord stated in Jhn 4 that God wants to be worshiped according to the truth, and the truth is the word of God(Jhn 17:17). There is no truth in honoring God by flagrantly disobeying His commands.
Ridiculous to try and find an exception. Why would anyone try and justify something so asinine?
We honor Christ as a Believer by our words and deeds, not by marking up our bodies. Jesus said “be like Me…”
