I've always wondered if Aaron has ever discussed the overall dynamics of playing with you, especially hitting the cymbals, because it always looks like Aaron is smashing the drums, though he's playing in a very controlled manner dynamic-wise and cymbal-wise. Im playing drums for many years dont let anyone tell you that your style of drumming is right or wrong its yours its about being an individual not a robot do what you love I used to play real fast and heavy in your face drumming in my 20 s now in my 40 s i have deffenilty slowed down my style and play with dynamics and a little finesse it comes with
Does anyone know if that is Comoros Denis from being as an oocean I want to say iits him but he doesn't quite have the same style or facial habits while hes drumming

Aaron Gillespie and Adam Carson are my biggest influences. But Aaron has absolutely no sense of dynamics live. I think the Dave Grohl worship has rubbed off on him.
Right? Pretty much what I came here to say. He is an incredible drummer and the reason I'm(truly)a gifted drummer today. But his dynamics are ludicrous! Sounds great on record ala Travis Barker but it's all fireworks live. He even told me he breaks a cymbal every couple shows. If he wasn't lying, that's messed up.

Never really cared much for Aarons style..he just wants to be the loudest and hot the hardest which if that's what u want then cool I guess. On top of that he uses giant k cymbals that are so washy and overthrown it makes the rest of the kit sound like a trash can.. But he's famous and I'm not lol so I'm doing something wrong I guess haha.
