Daves correct. The green pipe is an air pipe . It goes in a channel in the back of the protective foam. When there is an impact it squeezes and fires the bonnet rams. This was the same system that was on my crashed mini that I did on my channel. Best if luck with the build look forward to it and it hasn't taken the shine of the red bmw project. that tube in the foam in bumper is part of impact protection and connected to bonnet hinges ....I'm sure of it

There's nothing not to like, individual colour and it's a comp touring
I priced one when I was looking to trade my F82 M4 but don't like the side bolsters on the sports seats.
If you're old like me, it was like climbing a climbing frame, getting out the bloody thing and was £103k and thar wasn't with all the toys

Good effort Dave, nice car. Headlights won’t be cheap. The pipe from the foam is part of the pedestrian safety and it’s what pops the hinges.
