I just so love that you provide the seemingly small, but important details of caning like how to reduce to keep the pattern consistent and where to cut when tessellating. It makes such a difference between a result that is less than satisfactory and something sublime. There's nothing better than getting a thrill from your own work when it's done properly.
Love this tutorial! And your tips on closing off the ends to keep the clay from being sucked in are super helpful! I’ve never heard that before. I hope you keep making tutorials!
Großartige Idee und die Umserzung ist beeindruckend. Ich werde mich an dieses Muster wagen und bin gespannt ob es mir gelingt. Super und danke für das Tutorial.
Thank you for the delightful (and free) tutorial. Cynthia Tinapple of Polymer Clay Daily provided a link to your youtube videos. Keep making beautiful designs!
Thanks so much for your tutorials. Lovely work. I’m curious about your use of kitchen knives vs tissue blades. Why do you choose to sometimes use the knives? Do you get more control, perhaps?
thanks for asking, i realized that this can be confusing in my videos.... for me the kitchen knife is just so much easier to handle (with one hand!!). i use the tissue blade only when i need to make a very precise and straight cut. plus i use my craft knife a lot, especially when working on / with veneers.
Taking cane making seriously! Congrats!
thank you Martina!!
I loved watching

This is so cool, reminds me of the water drop cane I made years ago by another artist. I love the uniqueness of your canes.
