I get to Georgia. Keep checking my list, new locations added all the time at www.DrLoriV.com/events. A group has to invite and host me. That is how I get to your town. Tell your local fair, festival, home show, etc. to invite me. Been to Atlanta, Duluth, Augusta, Cartersville, Johns Creek, to name a few.
Here's a question. .I have a old numbered signed print but I look on the back of the picture and the nails need to be taken out and the back should be replaced but does that depend on you eat the art itself if you replace the old paper or the old cardboard because it is not very appealing. You know how the acid from cardboard is not good
I’d have to see your particular print, but as you say cardboard is acidic. Generally if you are comfortable removing it without damaging the piece that could work and just keep the backing since it may offer clues to the history of the piece.
Hello Dr. Lori. I have a question: So my grandmother is in posession of a painting of a sailboat with a signiature that says "F. Demonpre' 1923." I have tried looking up this name online, but I was amazed at how there was literally nothing about a 1920's artist named F. Demonpre'. Is there a particularily helpful offline source I can use to research this name and painting? Thank you.
Hi The Flaine, not everything is on the internet. And then, not all is accurate. Using my Ph.D. in art history, I can identify your painting if you like. Simply answer the questions I need on the form on my website

Dr. Lori Thank you I will do that next month. But this month I need to know which antique vase is the most valuable. Lol I'm hoping to have my retirement money now.
Glad to see this video about paintings. I bought 2 Josef Kovacs oil paintings in an estate sale 2 weeks ago. I was just wondering if you are familiar with this painter/artist.

@@DrLoriVHappy to hear from you and your prompt response. Yes, I will take photos of the 2 paintings and size. I'm in California. I have not traveled to the east coast since 1970s. However, when you'll be nearer my area, 25- 30 min from Disneyland (Southern CA), surely, I'll attend. Thank you very much, Dr. Lori.
I have a museum quality art collection, what can i do with it? , there's fine& folk. i've been collecting from thrift stores around the country for 30 yrs. Do museums buy peoples collections ever? Ok the obvious, document them, then what? Take pictures...then...?
Hi Linda, I consult with many people about their art collections using my Ph.D. in art history and museum experience. I know how the art markets and museums really work. I'll be happy to help if you like.
