Hi Lauren, I've had a campervan since 2018 and travelled extensively through out Germany and Europe. If you're travelling outside of the main vacation times, there is rarely a problem finding a place to spend the night. I would suggest that you add Park4night to your apps and think about "Landvergnügen" as an option in Germany.
I´d love to avoid the main vacation times, I´m not a crowd person for sure! Yes, I´ve got the Landvergnügen membership - I´m glad to hear you think it´s good. Thanks! And I love the Park4Night app. I couldn´t believe how many places there are to stay!

Great video and, nice you finally did it there will always be a time for camping, it is important that you take a little time in advance and see what you like. What I would recommend to you is a tour starting in the Spreewald in Brandenburg and then along the rivers Spree, Havel, through Oranienburg, to Prenzlau, Neustrelitz, past the Schorfheide, through the Uckermark to the Mecklenburg Lake District, then on to Stralsund and Rügen to Binz, Göhren and then to Mönchgut. A great tour, with a lot of nature and very beautiful small towns, real gems that nobody expects there and the region is sparsely populated, does not mean that many people.

Nice video. I have Danish friends spending all their summer holidays in Austria. Because autocampers are very expensive in Scandinavia, they drive their car from Denmark to Germany and then rent an autocamper. But why don't you buy an older camping trailer? Like a German "Hobby"? More space. With a tent in front of the camping trailer you really get some space. I bought a 5 meter long "Hobby" in Denmark a few years ago. It was old (20 yo) but in perfect shape. With the tent. It only cost me 10.000 DKr. (Approximately 1.300 Euros)
We need the mobility of a van, Hans. We use it to transport productions, as a dressing room. Pulling up with a caravan at the stage door wouldn‘t be as easy and flexible for parking. It‘s enough space, love it, even if I sometimes have a garden fountain and a celtic harp on my bed…
@@LaureninGermany True. I can see the advantages of an autocamper. My Danish friends once told me it is legal to stay in the back of an autocamper while driving, but it is prohibited in a camping trailer. Still i love my "Hobby". I have used it as a second home while working far away and for holidays. It's just great. It has a gas heater and a solar panel for electricity. In Norway we have the freedom to roam "allemannsretten" "All mens right" to park anywhere for the night. In Denmark we have to stay in a camping site and pay some money for the parking space, electricity and propane/natural gas. Anyway! Great vid.
In Germany you can´t be in the back whilst driving. The rules are endless. One of the very rare complaining videos of mine is about the German TÜV, as you saw...grrr! Germany is the same about wild camping as Denmark, but there are low-priced, if not very pretty, parking areas for overnight everywhere-ish. Thank youuuu.... takk...!

Thank you!
Ich LIEBE diesen Kanal! ❤❤ (Und nutze ihn nebenbei, um endlich britisches Englisch besser zu verstehen! 👍🏽
Du hast so eine perfekte klare Aussprache 😉)
Danke sehr, das war so schön für mich zu lesen, Uwe!
❤👍
Dankeeee!
Bitte schönes Mädel!
Oh, das auch noch, danke!
Du bist ja auch eine bezaubernde Frau!
You need an ASMR channel
Thank you! That´s kind of what I´m trying to offer - a bit of calm.

You nail it your voice is very calming
@@ohnenamen2843 wonderful, thank you. It also makes me feel better, recording the voiceover 😊
It's so curious that you, or _anyone,_ for that matter, should have a discouraging experience when it comes to where to make _camp._ I mean humanity is originally from the great _outdoors._ We're campers by _nature._
I don’t quite understand- did you watch the video? I didn’t have a discouraging experience.
@@LaureninGermany Right. I'm sorry. I commented too soon.
@@lazyperfectionist1 ah ok!
