Thanks, Mike. A lovely video reminding us of your wonderful videos from 2024, from which I have learned so much. I'm looking forward to following you in 2025.
Fantastic photo and video series. In addition to being a top nature photographer, you are also a very skilled communicator of everything that belongs to professional nature photography. You should consider a trip to Hornøya in Vardø in the far north of Norway. Preferably early April, it's absolutely spectacular. Looking forward to many nice videos from you in 2025.
Excellent Video Mike, i enjoyed the Waxwings and Pied Flycatchers, interesting how the male lifted one wing at a time, presumably a sign of attracting a female, loved the drone footage, didn't know they can follow you, no more setting a camera to film you walking in to the distance and having to walk back to retrieve, thanks for sharing.
Thanks for your great informative videos Mike your content and information is always of the highest standard bought the 150-600 after watching your videos use it with a cotton carrier vest loving it cheers Mike keep the videos coming 👍📷
Wat een geweldige opsomming van beelden en heel bruikbare tips .Heb met ingehouden adem zitten kijken .Nu gaat het weer goed met mij ,maak je geen zorgen .En wat een kwaliteit .Dank je wel .
HNY Mike, all the best for '25, some wonderful sequences there, I have all my photos and video clips (nearly 300 000) on a screensaver so 30 odd years of work displays at random and brings back many memories, I like that the videos display as well. Have a beaut year !!! 🤠😎
Fantastic collection of video and stills Mike. Hope that 2025 is a productive year for you. Thanks for all your films over the past year, always a real treat to watch 👍
Very well done! Exactly what a photographer wants to see. I'm particularly pleased with the demonstration of the drone, your comment on the 150-600 and you showing what ICDSee brings to the table. The images and video clips are excellent as they always are.
Thank you for sharing this wonderful retrospective. I loved the Waxwing footage. For weeks, I’ve been photographing Cedar Waxwings feasting on ripe persimmons on the tree in my neighbor’s tree here in Oakland, California. Quite a treat to watch!
Many thanks Mike for a lovely review of your year. I have watched them all over the last 12 months, so much inspiration for me to get out there more often. Being a stills shooter for many years, I’m now starting in video. Please could I have a recommendation for user friendly video editing software. Best wishes, Chris.
Dear Mike Wonderful collage 👏🏻👏🏻 You have a wealth of information about where to go and when I have recently retired and want to spend more time on photography Can you please publish or message me directly if more appropriate about the places to go and how to plan for the year Many thanks dr Asad
Happy new year Mike, thanks for sharing your very nice vids and images you got last year. Looking forward seeing more of it. Wish you good luck many greetings Michael.👍
thanks for the update and your continued inspirational and educational posting. You are not quite right about the 150-600mm zoom - it is easier to use than you stated about rotating as it is a trombone zoom in that you can push and pull it to zoom in/out. I use the knob on the lens hood to help me zoom in/out. It;s a very sharp and great lens. Folk moan about the weight but it's only about 10% heavier than the BWL and I don't see many posts complaining about the weight of that lens!!!
Happy New Year, Mike. I love all that you have photographed, the sharp photos and slow-mode 4-K videos. What software do you use to process the video clips?
hi mike You can safely say that 2024 has been a very good and beautiful photo year for you, with beautiful images in every respect. I hope that Om-system will add 120 frames per second and with Af to the Om-1 MK II through a firmware update. I think that should be possible very well. Have you already contacted Om-systems about this? I wish you a good and beautiful photo year and good health for 2025. with kind regards from the Netherlands.
You can tell it which folders to catalogue and I only want it to show my Master Picture folders with all the processed files in. The raw files I keep elsewhere, but sometimes wonder why as I almost never use them again.
Hi Mike. Thank you for all your videos. I enjoy them all a lot. Greetings from Spain.

Great video Mike. The Dji Neo looks a god bit of kit.
Hi Roger, I have replied to you comment several times, but it does not appear to work.
@@MikeLaneFRPS I dont know why that would happen. This comment has come through.
Fantastic images and videos. Happy new year. Do you use ACDc to edit as well as sort your images?
No, only for the database features, but editing options look comprehensive.

I didn't say it was difficult. I was emphasising how far you can zoom. It just seems to keep zooming like no other lens.
That drone is amazing! Lovely pics though
Thanks.
Happy New Year, Mike. I love all that you have photographed, the sharp photos and slow-mode 4-K videos. What software do you use to process the video clips?
Power director. It is simple and easy to remember,
Great video mike! Why don't you get the sony a1 II thats got 4K 120fps and with animal/bird af!
Money!

with kind regards from the Netherlands.
I hope and expect they will, but they don't pay much attention to me. Happy New year.
Lovely images! Do you grade them?
Not the video.
Great video Mike, which package of ACDC are you using? I need this software myself to catalogue my images. Thanks
It is the Photo studio Ultimate 2021 version.
My biggest problem is storage space
Lovely collection of images. I noticed in ACDSee that the images were all jpegs??
You can tell it which folders to catalogue and I only want it to show my Master Picture folders with all the processed files in. The raw files I keep elsewhere, but sometimes wonder why as I almost never use them again.
