  • 1 person/ Bachelor/ Cost of Living in Poland | Is living in Poland expensive? What are general living expenses? | How much money do I need to live comfortably in Poland? | Is living in Poland cheap / affordable? | Salary in Poland
    Hey Guys,
Here a video for you to analyze and suspect your monthly expense in Poland. Now since I'm from Warsaw the expenses will differ from City to City. In this video I have covered as much important question as I could (from your questions in the comments section, Instagram, emails, etc.)
    Topics covered are as below:
    1) Transportation : Public & Private
    2) Grocery
    3) Accommodation
    4) Medicine
    5) Shopping
    6) Makeup shopping
The cost of living in Poland is among the cheapest in the European Union (EU). Poland is one of the most economically developed countries in Eastern Europe. It offers a high level of salaries, low housing prices, low taxes compared to other EU countries and a lot of people are choosing Poland for permanent residence or as the first country to “move to Europe”.
    Talking in numbers,
-Poland is 34.1% cheaper than United States.
-Poland is 40.8% cheaper than Germany.
-Poland is 36.1% cheaper than Canada.
-United Kingdom is 2.3 times more expensive than Poland.
What is the quality of life in Poland?
Poland ranks above the average in personal security, as well as education and skills, but below average in health status, income and wealth, social connections, civic engagement, subjective well-being, jobs and earnings, environmental quality, work-life balance and housing.

    A) Economic growth:
Finding a high-paying job in Poland is not as difficult as in other European countries. It is enough to speak Polish at a good level and have the necessary skills in the field you are going to work in. Knowledge of English, German and/or French will be a big advantage since there are a lot of branches of foreign companies in Poland. Every year a lot of new jobs appear in the country, and the average and minimum wages are growing.
    B) Low rental and purchase prices:
Renting or buying an apartment in Warsaw, Krakow or another large city is much cheaper than in big European capitals like Paris or Berlin. But you still can enjoy all the advantages of living in a big city.
    C) Easy to travel all over Europe
Regular buses and trains run from the main cities of Poland to neighboring countries like Germany, Slovakia, Czech Republic, Hungary, the Baltic countries. At the same time, tickets can be bought for 20 euros in one direction. The situation is similar with air travel - there are many low-cost airlines flying to all major cities in Europe at a price of 20-50 euros per one-way ticket.
    D) High quality infrastructure
Poland has a high quality of roads, social and urban infrastructure. Courtyards and houses are always well-groomed. Many large cities provide an accessible environment for cyclists, people with wheelchairs, and people with limited mobility.

Kya Hale, żabka store is a convenience store ( like seven eleven) , and is expensive. never heard of Ocean store (must only be in Warsaw- I’m from Krakow) You also forgot to mention Auchan which is Carrefour’s direct competitor supermarket which sells almost everything. Then you have the two German discount supermarket stores (which sell a limited amount , but good range) ALDI & LIDL.

From January 1, 2023, the minimum wage in Poland will be PLN 3,490 gross, the government decided. This means an increase in salary by almost PLN 500, and another PLN 110 will be added from July. There has never been such a big raise. During the Tuesday meeting of the Council of Ministers, a decision was made to raise the minimum wage. It meets the expectations of the trade unions, which wanted 3,500 jobs. PLN gross from January and 3750 thousand. PLN from July. In turn, the hourly rate will be at least PLN 22.80 from the beginning of 2023 and PLN 23.50 from the middle of the year.
These higher amounts were not originally planned. Previously, it was said about PLN 3,450 from January and PLN 3.5 thousand. PLN from July.
Such a large valorization is a response to the proposal of the president of PiS, Jarosław Kaczyński, who announced that in 2024 the minimum wage would amount to PLN 4,000. PLN gross. Approximately 3 million employees are to receive the raise.
