Over 10 years ago my band was touring Japan for a week and I had the privilege of meeting Fuki. I remember initiating conversation with her by pointing at broom and saying houki, which means broom in Japanese. Then I asked her if it was neko, or niko for cat. She told me but my japanese hasn't improved in over the 10 years I was last in Japan. Say la vie, or as Fuki likes to say que sera sera. But we mostly talked about music, the evolution of bands in their sound and she is a very good listener. And I have a great memory (praise God), for this great band Unlucky Morpheus has evolved brilliantly. I remember her being a total sweetheart. If you're reading this Fuki you and your band are phenomenal and reached far beyond my expectations. If you would ask Fuyuki how he feels about the practice of alternating hands in hi hat/snare combos. Also maybe listen to the band The Other, the song once and for all to further the evolution of his already amazing drumming. Cheers!
