Lmao My boss is that person. She tells you what she wants you to do, usually five minutes before your shift is over. Then she tells you all the faux-apocolyptic-type things that could possibly happen if you don't do that one thing. And then suddenly 5 minutes have passed and that thing she wants you to do doesn't get done because you've just run out of time since you had to wait for her to finish her spiel. And naturally it's your fault because you don't know how to manage your time.
Rent them an apartment. Somewhere smaller that fits their needs and comfort. No need to “Buy” them a house. And if she did buy a house, keep it in her name. That way they have a place to live and then after, they can use it as a rental.
My Mama's brother didn't want my Mama buried next to my grandparents and at the service cussed my Mama like a dog. My sister held my Dad back but by God I beat his ass. Then his son took him away saying that my Mama was the only one who deserved to be buried there. My Uncle tried to press charges but my entire family swore I didn't touch him. I never saw him again. Only his immediate family attended his funeral.

At about 17 as the guy is driving his wife further and further into the middle nowhere I thought it was turning into a horror movie. Reminds me of one where a woman marries a woman, lives with her for a year then takes her to her family cabin and hunts her. The would be victim finds the stash of wedding rings like hers because this is a serial killer and she’s done the same thing multiple times.
Born poor , raised poor and 15 spwnt years as an addict. Brother died refused the inheritance and gave it to my gmother. When mygmother died refused the money because it was blood money from my brothers death. Know lots of people and havent meet anyone that dont trust me with all they have. Greed is a Envious monster that causes so much Vanity in people. They become a Sloth to doing the right thing and when someone does the right thing they get enraged with Anger. Never made any sense to me.

I'm not finished watching but so far I'm siding with MIL. OP wasn't so busy she couldn't take five to ten minutes to call and check on MIL once or twice a week. I'm sure MIL and husband are going to turn out to be horrible but at the halfway point I 'm siding with MIL
