Yes usually if I’m using two actives in one go, I apply Vitamin C first then essence followed by alpha arbutin and moisturizer. The thing is if you apply vitamin C and alpha arbutin people who have sensitive skin will experience irritation and I’m one of them so to avoid that I put essence in between. I hope this helps.

It will work above a thick moisturizer only if the consistency is oil like. If it gel or water based use it before moisturizer
