The first aspect that always amazes me with these old photos is the ''short'' period of time that separates us from ''them''. The difference between the world today and the world as it was one hundred years or even one hundred and forty years (l880's) seems totally unbelievable to me. Such carelessness (craziness) from the construction workers in the 50's would be so unimaginable nowadays! And the milkman pouring the milk off his milk can into the girl's pitcher, ''only'' 110 years ago :-) Congrats again on your research!

5:12. What a name!! 😮 btw 5:56. Saw this a few years ago. Amazing ship! 😊
A wonderful bit of historical sun on this rainy day in Sleepy Hollow, New York. Thank you.
Glad you enjoyed it ! … Thanks for watching… Actually, I was flying out of jfk in that storm when you posted this
Wow! What a name!!
Thanks! (Emphasis on "bis"!) @@kirstymackenzie2437
United Artists shot was great. Python's "confuse a cat" sketch was fun, about a team of men who literally confuse cats to jolt them from torpor. There was a throwaway line at the end of the sketch regarding other animal confusing services they offered, one being called, "bewilderbeast."
🤣🤣🤣
"And now for something completely different!" One of many, but so appropriate for this channel. :)
I'm in the process of starting a second channel that's a bit more lighthearted and that made the shortlist of names for the new channel ...lol
Great pics! Nice music too! My Grandma was born in 1915- for some reason these make me feel closer to her.
That's an awesome comment … This is one of the goals of my channel. Indeed, Every time I make these videos they bring me closer to my own grandparents. I actually wear my grandfathers wristwatch while I research the photos.
Love the old pictures 😊
Glad you enjoyed them
And now something completely different! I never forgot that line lol!

@@AmazingHistoricalPhotos I wouldn't miss it. Thanks.
Very cool.
Thank you 🤗
That first one is me lol
I found it a tantalizing set of historic photos that I had to pause several times for longer contemplation. The one that I found most interesting is the 1957 Las Vegas casino areal view. Look what that flat, stark desert is today! I look forward to more of these.
Thanks for watching and welcome aboard !
4:10. ‘Er, you first “. on the cable car over Niagra Falls”. 😮. 😅
lovely agatha as a nurse.love her books
Thank you!

Thank you 🤗 … glad you liked it !
When I see these old photos my primary thought is; what did they do with the rest of their day once their picture was taken for posterity?
Not a lot ... it took about 7 hours of exposure time and sitting still to get one photo !!! ...I exaggerate of course, but it was certainly a long ordeal getting a photo taken !
So long ago yet so recent in the grand scheme of things
“ it’s just a flesh wound…”. “…albatross, get your albatross here..”
how has the world changed in such a short period of time
"It... was... the... salmon loaf."
Salmon mousse … and waffer thin mint is what did it
These are great, be better if the correct context was finally revealed, post mud flood reset and all😊
The little policeman toddlers photo looks way older than the 1930s
Monty Python “It’s”…
Great … now I’m singing the flying circus theme tune in my head all night 🤣
🐘🚙 The idea for, “Babar the elephant”.
You can't do that. He's not quite dead yet.
"Is 'e a Capricorn?"
Spam, Spam, Spam, Spam...
Sales of spam skyrocketed because of that sketch … and then dropped drastically when everyone walked around singing the song all day 🤣
