That's an excellent question. The short answer is at the bottom. But the more in depth answer is as follows: All of the music on the videos so far I wrote and recorded several years ago for the three albums that have already been released (After the Storm, Koan and Images). Back then I was playing every day and performing them professionally so some of those pieces you hear I wrote in 2 - 3 hours. I just close my eyes, go where the music takes me ... and somehow memorize it immediately. Not sure how but I just do. Recently, I have started playing more and am about to begin composing again for a brand new album. It might take a little longer as Ive been away from it for a while. So, I would guess 3-5 hours nowadays to get a finished piece... once I'm in the mood. But, I may revise this when I sit down again to write ... lol As for the Photos I would guess somewhere between 10 - 15 hours of research per completed video. I view thousands of photos.. But, so many you will have seen a hundred times elsewhere so they don't make the cut. Some I negate because they cross the line on sensationalism. Some are too graphic for youtube. So it's a very fine line to find rare photos that are usable. Thank you for your question. Sorry for the long response but the short answer would be: Music 3 - 5 hours Photos 10 - 15 hours.
@@AmazingHistoricalPhotos maybe try composing for the photos,so the emotions parallel each other!...they sort of do anyway. I love hearing you play Mark,my favourite channel :-)
It's so funny that you say that. I started on a new piece last night. I always just touch the keys, close my eyes and just go with it, But, I found myself viewing a slideshow in my noodle while I was playing. I think by default now my new music will likely be seen through that lens ... Thank you again for your support and kind words.
@eilsmile8732 Thank you so much. Actually, both this Saturday and next Saturday will feature two brand new piano solos that I wrote this week. I am currently trying to compose new music every week or two ... Hope you enjoy it ... streaming and download links to the music can be found at www.markbulmer.com
I've been binge watching these amazing videos all evening, fantastic. Subbed clicked notification all after the first one, glad I found this thoroughly absorbing channel 👏👏👍
Impossible to imagine what was going through his mind. Apparently this photo was taken right as they were getting ready to blow the whistle for them to go over the top ... which meant almost certain death ... That is indeed the face of terror !
I absolutely love your videos they are amazing I quite honestly have no clue why the worker standing on that high metal I have a really bad fear of heights that it makes me shiver 😂😂 what a brave/stupid man 😂 you literally couldn’t pay me enough to do that
Loved seeing young Moe and Shemp, as well as the Marx brothers as kids. As for Keith Richards on a leash, well, when he was let off, he made up for it.
Yes, he did. His name was Jacob Nacken and he moved to the United States after the war. He was the worlds tallest Santa for a while and also used his 7 ft 3 inch height to great advantage. He worked on tv, commercials and got a lot of work due to his stature.
What takes longer, composing the music or researching for photos!?

Absolutely fascinating. The terror in that young soldier's eyes is just awful.

@@AmazingHistoricalPhotos Your site is stunning. Thank you 😊
Much appreciated !
Omg the ventriliquist dummy is the stuff nightmares are made of.
Im not sure if it's intentionally scary, or just the limitations of the day .... but it sure is !
I could comment on almost every photo, but I'm going with that dummy scared the Hell out of me!
Horry sheet

Seeing Kieth Richards as a little kid even then his mum knew he was too wild to handle

Groucho Marx is one of my idols. So weird seeing him so young with that whole amazing career ahead of him.
They were quite handsome!
8:21- spojrzenia takie, że aż mrozi krew w żyłach😂😝
That construction worker was one brave individual
I don't know why I put those construction worker heights photos in ... they all make me feel sick ... lol
Did that tall soldier survive I wonder….. hope so

Tommy Lee Jones was a handsome fella!
Even watching her dangling from a balloon is enough to make me dizzy
Same
That dummy yikes
The dummy photo has been a big hit. I think we all agree it belongs in a Stephen King book/movie
