Ok well, here's the story behind the video. The protagonist is Ambition, a korean proplayer former World Champion in 2017 with SSG. The video is the climb, the arise, of Ambition and the SSG to the victory of the 2017 World Champion. First scene, the cornfield: he's facing Perkz (the guy with the sword, he's portraying Yasuo, one of LoL champions), beating him using Kha'Zix abilities (another champion). Second scene, the mountain: that guy who's throwing darts is Uzi, another proplayer, one of the best ADCs back in the days (ADC is one of the 5 roles you can play) and he's portraying Vayne who's one of his most known champion. While he's fighting Uzi, Ambiton is using Sejuani's abilities (that big beast you see when he swings the whip, that's Sejuani's beast, she usually rides it). Last scene, the final. The guy reading the book is simply the best LoL proplayer of all time, he's called Faker, and in 2017 his team SKT T1 faced Ambition's team SSG in the 2017 World Final, two korean teams. Same story for the other scenes, as soon as they start fighting, they transform into two champions, Faker becomes Ryze (he's the best Ryze player on earth) and Ambition becomes Jarvan. The scene when he jumps and hits Faker with his banner simulates Jarvan's Ultimate Spell. He wins the fight, just as SSG won the final that year, and so you can see the logo appearing on the statue. The final scene shows some other teams, like Fnatic and Team Liquid, as they're approaching to climb the mountain as Ambition did before, to become world champions themselves. At the end, we can see Uzi opening his eyes, because even tho that year he failed to win the world championship, they wanna let us know that he will try again the next year.
@@TomTom-co9ig there are rumors that IG offered a 9 digit contract (8 digit with $) with UZI to get him back. It's possible that he'll be back next year.
Two things missed, is that Ambition and Samsung Galaxy lost the 2016 final to SKT, so the start of the video is meant to be him crashing back to the start after his defeat and climbing back up for another shot. Also you don't see Uzi defeated in the video, because his team RNG beat Samsung twice in the group stage hence Ambition taking a bunch of wounds from the volcano fight. RNG were actually taken out of the tournament by G2 in the quarter finals, which was a massive upset and one of the best Worlds matches I've ever seen.
So: League of Legends is a videogame, a MOBA, u play it 5v5 on a map called summonersrift, each player has a dedicated position, there are 152 champions to play (there is way more to it, but this works for now i guess). This Video was made for the esports events called 'worlds' in 2018, which means the best teams from each region and all over the world (literally) play against each other, first in a group stage, then in a knock out stage up until the finals. This song was supposed to hype up the community for the tournament and they (Riot, company behind League of Legend) do that every year since worlds take playe every year in september/october. Btw: english isnt my native, but second language, so excuse some spelling errors and stuff here and there.
Well, that song wasnt only to Hype the community. It is a metaphor for what happens on Worlds 2017 where Samsung Galaxy beat the 3 times World Champion SKT. The Video shows a metaphor on how hard it was, to climb that shit. On the first Fight u see G2 ( i think its perkz) - on the second Fight it is Uzi from RNG (Royal Never give Up from china) - on the last, its pretty obvious and already told. The fight against SKT and Faker - the Grand Finale.

Yeah, i mean, i want to see him react to everything about league, music videos, teasers, cinematics, but the next one should be Take Over, bc is a song and he said he like fighting scenes.. but i want to see all of them..
FYI the character with the book and glasses is an important figure on the esports scene. He's Faker, considered one of the best midliners in League of Legends in the world.
next you can do "Awaken" also by league of legends, it's from 2019 so the animation is great, though it's less of a bop and more of a cinematic/music video.
Your commentary is very much appreciated. PS. Notice the main character is the player and the background characters between scenes is their chosen game character they are playing.
The song and video were made for The World Championships, it shows a fantasy story of Crown, the previous world champion, defeating other players dressed as the characters they are known for. The final player is Faker, who before this was considered the greatest player in the world. Once he wins, and his team is crowned amongst the other statues, you see players climbing the mountain to face him now as their final boss. The video, like a lot of other league ones is trying to fantasise the idea of growing and improving at the game, and becoming the best through perseverance. Riot really know how to get to their commiunity hahaha. If you want to see another one like this with a similar story of players dressed as characters facing known esports people, watch TAKE OVER, this year's song. Love the vids man, nice to see someone enjoy league's music
i can give the backstory, Ambision, the person you see in the video, was a midlaner. middle of the map. got man handled by Faker, the SKT/T1 guy. he changed to Jungler, took him 7 years. and then with Samsung he won the world championship

Ambition proved it could be done and now everyone wants a taste of that World Championship glory.

Quick summary of the video: The people in this video are professional League of Legends players; the weapons they carry are weapons of the champions you can play in League of Legends. The video is showing the climb in ranks of the main person by battling other players, eventually reaching a battle against Faker (one of the best League of Legends players, if not the best) which symbolizes a world championship game. When the main person beats Faker, his team's emblem (on the back of his jacket) is transferred to one of the statues to show that he won the "championship". I thought this video was inspirational and thoughtful! Faker climbed the ranks at a very young age, winning championship after championship. When he was finally beat, Faker was upset that he couldn't put another win under his belt. But, this video still recognizes him as the best League of Legends player
It’s a story about all the players of league of legend trying to reach the championship! Those are like real people in anime working there ass to be the next all champ! And we love it! Check it out! It’s awesome
League of Legends makes some amazing music. They release a music video for the professional championship they hold every year. These videos usually feature the actual real life players fighting, while they embody the game characters they play. The weapons they fight with, the abilities, thats all from the character in the game. They have some other really amazing music videos, which show the game world and characters. I would suggest the video "Warriors", its an epic video thats all animated and shows more of the world of League of Legends.
I don't know if someone ever told you this, but League of Legends is making an animated series that were supposed to be released this year, but you know, coronavirus. If you're looking for cool fight scenes and great music AND League of Legends lore, you should check out "Kin of the Stained Blade" (ua-cam.com/video/D4L0OkSrsI8/v-deo.html), it shows the story of two LoL characters Yasuo and Yone and was released when Yone came out. Would love to see your reaction!
