I had never seen any of your videos so this one is my first. I love the pages and the mixture of old amd new and thought it's a glue book it has a Junk Journal feel to it. Also it's not like any other glue book I've ever seen since it's not just magazine pages, though I love those too, this one is different. Tfs!

I just love glue books! I've been trying my hand at junk journals but have been so intimidated by the fancy signatures and ephemera and trying to make them look breathtakingly beautiful like the ones I've seen. I just loved your book! I'm new to all of this paper/media art stuff and having a blast! Collage and gluebooks are my favorite things right now. I'm just finishing up my first Christmas gluebook and I so love it! I love all the tabs you've done and I'm going to do this for mine, too. It will help turn every yummy page, plus add so much character. I plan to do more mixed media in mine in the future. Yours is a great sampling. I am glad you shared a flip through! I remember when you started it. Seems like it's been a while😉 Also seems like all my journals end up at least part glue book. With quotes and recipes and a little venting along the way. I'm a hodgepodge kind of woman, lol. You give it a sort of theme when you play with paint or practice some technique. Maybe theme is too strong a word... Maybe it's tied together that way though😄 💖 from Hot as Hades Texas.

Lynn, love this book! What kind of paper did u use, all diff kinds? And the binding, you sewed it together and reinforced with washi? ❤
I just used the papers that were already in the book. No sewing or anything. I did use washi and other tape to reinforce a lot throughout the process.

Yes, I don’t know what Liz is doing now. I loved her random junk journal/glue book stuff. Her chatty ones were good too. Wish she’d do it again but she seems to have moved on. You never know, she may do it again one day

I think they are similiar to junk joursals but without pockets. It's sort of like a book of collage with no theme, but I think some people have some with themes. It's a place to save all the paper stuff you like instead of putting it in a box or drawer.

Hi Lisa! If it’s just a notebook instead of a journal bound with cord, I just take cord or ribbon and wrap it through and tie it at the top. 😊 xxLynn

I don't know if you will be seeing this comment since the video was a couple years ago, but here goes. Did you use signature pages? What did you use for the book itself? Is there a video of you creating Big Dee? Also isn't a Junk Journal and a Glue Book the same?
Hi! This is actually just one composition book that has turned into a glue book! So much glued onto every single page. I did glue fabric to the outside, plus some other odds and ends. The pages were crumpled a bit before working on them. I think the lines get blurred with glue books, smash books, junk journals. I would consider this a glue book since that’s pretty much its entire purpose and I didn’t make the book itself. xx

Oh, got it! Well, I did not sew in the composition glue book, but I have sewn in other books that were already bound. You just have to be careful. It can be tedious, and there is a limit to where and how much you can sew once the book is bound. xx
