UNADILLA MX REWIND VINTAGE RACE 6-10-23

Justin Allen Moto 2 of 78-89 Open Novice group 2. I went 3-3 on the day for 3rd overall out of 22 riders.
Bought this 1986 KX125 for $750 three weeks and one day before this race. We tore the bike down to bare engine and frame as soon as we got home. Cleaned and greased all the bearings and only had to replace the wheel bearings and swingarm bearings. Was extremely tough getting parts shipped as soon as possible for this quick build but we got it 93% there; definitely needs carb work and maybe some engine work and a rebuild! First trip to Unadilla and first weekend on the bike. It was pretty successful and an absolute blast! Even for being the first day on the bike with just morning practice and the two motos, can't wait for next year!

You did damn good. My buddy was in this moto too and i remember thinking those 2 guys out front have absolutely no business being in novice class. Clearing sky shot every lap 🙄
