Your words released shame I harbored for not being able to trust when I believed God needed me to do. Now I understand that it’s healthy to admit there’s a solid biblical explanation why I cannot trust some people and it’s not about me…it’s about the gift of discernment that Christ offers me. God bless you Lysa!!!
I have to tell you I learned about you last week through your testimony. Forgetting these videos aren’t current so to speak I began praying for you. Long story short I’m glad God brought about the good. Chaz! Awesome!🤩 ❤
Im so glad I found this. I have an alcoholic husband who claims to be a Christian. We have been married 35 years and he was a committed believer at the beginning. He was addicted to porn for 10 years and now drinks all day (he's retired). When I confront him, he blame shifts and belittles. He is in complete denial about his addiction. I recently started biblical counseling and I am having a hard time with it. I try to live a life pleasing to the Lord and want to be obedient to Him. The counselor is telling me that my reaction and distrust of him and his actions is sin and a selfish response. That I cannot change him and I should strive for intimacy again and love him with the understanding that I am not perfect and am as much a sinner as he is, but in different ways. This perspective is really causing me anxiety. I have always been a person who has a lot of discernment, and the only part of this advice I can feel peace about is that I cannot change him and need to give him to the Lord to change. Thank you Lisa for your teaching. It left me with hope instead of telling me that to deal with my husbands sin is to realize I'm as much a sinner as him. I am a sinner, I am not denying that. But to put me on the same level as my alcoholic, verbally abusive husband, really hurts.
I prayer Lord help me to love my husband like you do. And help me to forgive like you do. I would seek a different christian counselor there are counselors on line if none in your area.
@maryfisher2110 I hope you've moved on from that counselor and found someone else. In their own way, that counselor is being abusive towards you. I really do hope you've moved away from them, I'm lifting you in prayer!
I'm so sorry to hear this about a counsellor. Your councillor is harming you and causing more trauma. You need to find someone who is trauma informed. May God continue to bless you as you seek His will for your life 🤗💕
I still keep experiencing and getting hit by more loss. 3years ago, my only child died at 30yrs old. My grandchildren are being witheld by a non christian mother. One severe loss after another. God has not answered MY prayers for a godly husband, despite my prayers and working with a great Christian counselor. Still empty handed! I'm tired. Yes, people betray my trust. 😢
I am sorry for your pain. I too have lost grandbabies from others free will. I pray for your peace. Remember sister-> Romans 5:3-4 “Not only so, but we also glory in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope
Your introduction to session 1 video I was listening and waiting on bible scriptures to back up all your knowledge and research but was zero. The word Trust is found 125 times in the Bible nkjv You gotta be speaking to the secular world because many don’t understand the Bible. Thank you for letting me share my Honesty Amen & Thank You JESUS
Jesus said He is the way the truth and the life. (Jesus is Lord ) I would like to see when truth is spoken by someone with the Holy Spirit ~~that the power of the spoken word of truth supersedes the lies around the conversation and the demon behind the lying person would just shut up and leave…and then Jesus could deal with the lying person about the truth and get it all settled right then and there. Then the Christian person who spoke the truth in love gets to walk away without being persecuted. It would be so wonderful if justice would happen real time instead of waiting on God to work in a persons heart… Unless it was just a few moments I mean this is what happens, We could mess around for years and years and all of a sudden one day we get the truth and then we change our heart and then go to God and all is well. It would be nice if that would just happen in moments like, how about within the hour, like when Jesus performed miracles when he walked on the Earth. That would improve my trust even though I had always trusted in God and have laid it all down for Jesus… and there’s still tragedy. I’m tired of tragedy.
Bigger tragedy for them ,no liar will enter kingdom ,they gonna 🔥🔥🔥just say God bless them avoid them but Always forgive in heart ( truly) else it turns to bitterness and the love starts to die.took me decades to let the Lord show me that one.i shut down completely.and ended up becoming what I hated just to hide .its spirits not people.jesus was kindhearted not “ nice” 2/3 of teachings bout hell.if u can get there pray for them .❤🇦🇺🙏👍
My friend the scriptures state trust no man.All have fallen .Only trust in God.Ive found know people weakness and try to keep that away from them discreetly, not slyly.❤🇦🇺👍🫡
No man is fully trustworthy. But it doesn't say not to trust. It says to mutually respect and love your spouse, which involves a lot of trust that will at times be broken. Jesus had his 3 then his 12, then his 50 etc that he trusted at different levels.
It's a different level of trust. It means that we cannot expect humans to be perfect, but we can still trust some humans within certain aspects and standards.
Thank you for sharing. God has brought you thru many hardships and to equipped you to testify to His goodness

You need to stay away from that so-called counselor
I think your counselor is giving poor advice. Trust your discernment and seek help elsewhere.
