  • Five-year-old gymnast Jayden Pollard got scared practicing a stunt with her dad. But he reassured her, saying, "My job is to make sure you're safe." With a hug and words of encouragement, they did this.

I taught both my lil boy n girl to ride dirt bikes at the age of 5 n 6. That trust gain goes along ways! Awesome dad!

I felt the love ❤ she is a brave girl, and he is a good dad. He gave her safety. it's risky, its real. Maybe if they had stopped after her scared, she wouldn't want to try again. Nice that he made her see that she can and stopped the fear right after it happened.

Her fear is warranted. Humans aren't perfect, it's very possible that her dad might not catch her next time. These type of dangerous performances are impressive, but dangerous nonetheless. I personally wouldn't put my child's life on the line for any competition or views for a video. 🙄

Daddy should do what daughter wants not what he wants to prove on social media.

Kindly remove this. It's apparent the kid is forced to perform for internet fame. She is scared - really scared . And, those stunts were dangerous and had nothing to do with learning the kid to overcome fear.
    Insane

I don't agree, he completely denied her of her feelings and basically told her to quit complaining. Terrible.

Child abuse, pure and simple. Listen to the fear in her breathing throughout the video. She is rightly afraid of falling... but more afraid of father's disapproval if she refuses to risk falling. Damned if she does and damned if she doesn't.

Again ppl who dont know anything talk8ng. Clearly you don't watch their videos because she always does that. The reason she does that is because when she is up in the stunt she tends to hold her breath which she needs to work on. So when she comes out of doing smt she releases it. Clearly you don't know anything about cheerleading or sports for that matter

If the stunts hasn't been perfected yet then why are you practicing it on the pavement rather than a grass field? I can understand why you would video record yourself to review it later, but why are you audio mic yourself? If I didn't know better it's almost as if this script was pre-planned in hopes of going viral. Crazy the way we must scrutinize everything in the news these days because of all the corporate media lies.

Can always count on someone who just has to share their cognitive distortions, assumptions, judgmental stance, etc.

      "If I didn't know better"...
Or how about unless you really actually know the facts, if you don't have anything nice/positive to say/share just don't and keep it to yourself? That just doesn't happen on internet, it seems that some use the internet to project their own issues, problems, emotions, triggers, insecurities etc. out on others rather than deal/cope with them in appropriate, healthy and productive ways perhaps...

@@b.41879 And its comments like yours that have gotten us into this predicament that were in. Where people become endorphin Junkies who can't wait to get their next "feel good news" fix. And like all addictions it comes with consequences, such as diminished critical thinking skills. In the end you don't even care if the story is real or not you're just looking to get your next fix.
