Thanks! Was just reading about that EQ and was wondering if there are any reviews about it and your video popped up in my subscribe list. Very glad you are doing those videos, always a pleasure listening to you and watching you go through all the features. 🙏❤️👍
I like the plugin but it's still a CPU hog. Used a 25 tracks project with Lindell 50 channels .. my DAW crumbled into stutter abyss after replacing 8 Lindell for the (demo version) weiss EQ. The "suitable for mixing" claim is either not accurate or Softube used 64+ cores to test this. Maybe a future update .... 64+ cores.
It's pretty heavy on CPU usage. But I kind of expected that with this EQ the other weiss plugins are super heavy. But I know softube does a good job at bringing down the cpu usage with updates, maybe try it again in a couple months.
Imo ProQ3 has the harshest sounding highs and only a mediocre sounding low end handling, from all digital EQ I know. If the Weiss is too expensive try out the Crave DSP EQ. Some prefer it even over the Oxford EQ or the Massenburg EQ6. But in terms of sound quality and transient handling, nearly every digital EQ does a better job as ProQ3. Such as DMG Equilibrium, Melda MAutodynamicEQ, Hornet Total EQ. AVA Legacy EQ, ELI BigFrEQ, to name just a few. To answer your question. No. Of course you don't "need" another EQ. But dabs you want one :)

Great video thanks for the demo!
Does it let you change to Natural Phase or linear phase?
No

Best eq in the univers :) 🎉🎉
If I own Fabfilter Q3, do I need this?
No.
Me too and no I don't need it. I even selected Pro Q3 in that blind test between Weiss and Pro Q3, as the better sounding one.

@@nichttuntun3364 I'd rather want another redundant Guitar Amp Sim. :D But I wasn't aware that the FFQ3 is supposed to be that "coloring".
nope. youre paying more for less with a larger cpu hit and clunkier workflow
How can you say that’s a kick drum sound LOL John Bonham is literally laughing his a** off above. How can anyone call that a kick drum sound ! 😂
