18:14 "Don't know who that is." Carl Lewis was an incredibly famous U.S. track and field athlete of that era. In addition to being an excellent sprinter, he was also a master long jumper -- he won the gold medal in 4 Olympics in a row (spanning 12 years) -- which is why Carter is making the connection here to "jumping on or off of buses."
Rush Hour was amazing, and hilarious, Jackie Chan does all his own stunts, normally without safety, but he wasn't allowed to do his stunts in the USA, without safety equipment. It's a miracle Jackie Chan is still alive with the amount of accidents the man has had.
3 parts of this movie that really make me crack up laughing are: 1. When Carter starts dancing like Michael Jackson in the middle of the street after blowing the car up 2. When Lee and Carter are bonding and practicing disarming techniques while Edwin Starr's song "War" plays in the background 3. When Carter says "I know that ain't the bomb. Get that bomb away from me." Towards the end.
And trust me, the blooper reels for the remaining two movies are just as funny when it comes to the slip-ups with the dialogue. Also, RIP to Elizabeth Peña (Johnson), Chris Penn (Clive Cod) and Tom Wilkinson (Jun Tao)
Oh hi there, was lowkey looking for you in here lol I also remember what you said about wanting to do reactions I’d say go for it if you got the time Reacting is hot these days and it’s relatively simple People evidently be really into seeing others experience something for the first time for some reason or another, if our presence here is any I indication
Carl Lewis is a multiple Olympics gold medal winner in Track and Kareem abdul Jabber is one the greatest basketball players of all-time and a Civil Rights activist.
Favourite movie series ever! Rush Hour 2 is the funniest film I’ve ever seen! It’s even better than Rush Hour 1 😂 Chris Tucker is sooo underrated, never got the chances he deserved! Absolute natural comedic timing
I can tell from your reaction that you really needed to laugh. All of the Rush Hour movies will provide you with many laughs. It was a joy watching you enjoy this movie! I'm looking forward to the next one.
19:58 "Who's that?" Kareem Abdul Jabbar was a famous U.S. professional basketball player -- mostly for the L.A. Lakers -- who was 7'2" tall (218 cm). That's why Carter is referencing him while complaining that Lee didn't lower the ladder enough for him to be able to reach it.
Definitely watch Rush Hour 2 and 3. Also, check out the movies Ride Along(2014), Ride Along 2(2016), National Security(2003), Money Talks(1997), All About the Benjamins(2002), Bad Boys(1995), Bad Boys ll(2003), Bad Boys for Life(2020), and Big Momma’s House(2000).
One of the best buddy cop movies ever. With Christmas on the way you gotta react to the Lethal Weapon movies. They set the standard for buddy cop movies.
Your laughter throughout was fabulous, so glad you enjoyed this. I hope you enjoy 2 and 3 as well (and I think you will). Oh, as for other funny movies, maybe (if you haven´t seen them) - Shaun of the Dead, Trading Places and Coming to America, Tucker and Dale vs Evil, The Producers, The Bird Cage...they are all good for laughs.
It took me a while to catch it, but Carter didn't say "do you want fries with that". He was going through money denominations, and he said, "do you want fives with that." It's funny either way, but funnier with fives because it's another money denomination and rhymes with fries. This reaction was such a treat! Your laugh is infectious!
Jackie Chan got the idea of including an NG reel (NG standing for "no good") - a.k.a. outtake reel - during the closing credits came from one of his first four (unsuccessfuly) attempts to break him into the American market: _The Cannonball Run_ (1981), which also had outtakes during its closing credits. That was the only good thing that he thought good about the whole experience; although _The Cannonball Run_ was a hit he just could not stand out enough amongst so many American stars to make the desired impact, especially as his part was so small. The other films that Jackie starred in during that period of time are _Battle Creek Brawl_ (1980), _Cannonball Run II_ (1984) and _The Protector_ (1985). None of them had the effect of breaking him into the American market; that would have to wait another decade with _Rumble in the Bronx_ (1995). Although he particularly hated working on _The Protector,_ the one thing that the film *did* do was inspire him to make what many consider to be his best action film: _Police Story_ (1985), which he also directed.
Amazing reaction! I always feel like he's saying "You want any fives with that?" instead of 'Fries' but what do I know? You should absolutely check out one my all time favourite Jackie Chan movies "New Police Story" from 2004, I find it criminally underrated and it's absolutely a blast!
I really think he did say "fives," in spite of what the caption says. Sang asked for different amounts of fifties, twenties, and tens, so it only makes sense that Carter would ask if he wanted any fives.
If you're ever interested in a comedy for Halloween, I recommend the movie Tucker and Dale vs. Evil, a really well done parody of the "cabin in the woods" horror trope. It does have some horror elements to it, but it isn't a horror film in the same sense as movies like The Conjuring or Hereditary, and is really a comedy.
Sorry I've been gone. For some reason, UA-cam logged me out of my login, and I had to remember my password for all of my subscribed channels. Let's go with Chris Tucker and Jackie Chan!
Wow this was a Great reaction video! You were cracking up almost non stop and I enjoy it. I don't have to worry about you watching 2 and 3 because I know you are going to do that. But when you finished with this series and you are up to it react to Bad Boys starring Martin Lawrence and Will Smith. It is a comedy cop movie series as well. Subscribed.
Your laugh is hilarious Keep up the comedies 2 recommendations the legend of Ron burgundy and Talladega nights the ballad of Ricky Bobby Both starring Will Ferrell
@IndianCalypso If you think Rush Hour is funny, I cant wait for you to react to Rush Hour 2, Dodgeball a true underdog story, Major Payne, White Chicks.
Chris Tucker is beyond naturally hilarious, love his acting so much. Chris & Jackie are the best duo.
I almost called the hospital. Thought you were gonna die from laughter 😂
😂😂

Shangaï Kid with Jackie Chan and Owen Wilson. Good duos.

Such a fun franchise! 😁
After you watch the Rush Hour trilogy watch Shanghai Noon (2000) and Shanghai Knights (2003) where Chris Tucker morphs into Owen Wilson.
