I run a 225 Odd Fire with lots o' Holley on a Kenne Bell #1 intake with MSD, Advance Adapters headers, plenty of cam, 4 speed, twin stick T18 with Warn overdrive... in my ol' Flattie. It did take a while to get her timed and tuned, work out fuel pressure and choke issues, but she now purrs and growls like a large, loud, cat when fed; then down to the notorious rumpity idle of the Dauntless hitting at 90,150,90,150... degrees of the crank. I've been driving her for over twelve years. Windshield down, goggles on. She's a beast. The 225 Odd Fire is an excellent choice for any of the early CJ vehicles. They fit beautifully (Kaiser used 'em on CJ5 as well as Jeepster), have plenty of low end torque yet rap up quickly when throttled, hit the 'one' like a James Brown song yet run cool and have very low stall speed.
I have a 67 myself it's my start project for 2 yrs to many to complete 1st but looking forward to starting it. Love the look of this 1 and my plan is to put My jku axles after I do 1tons on it under my 67 and roll on 35's can you show more about the adapter plate for the holley system I'm intrigued.
