Why bring the weapon down to a compressed posture while clearing 360

So that I'm not appearing to be muzzling anyone. The last thing I want is for the good guys that might be running around the corner to see me with a weapon up or pointed outwards. Low and compressed is about as tight as I can get it without totally switching the weapon off in an excessively compressed position.

Thank you for pointing out the idiotic position of the sul. Such a terrible technique that gets drilled into guys in le and maybe by some private instructors. This is a great teaching video that is rarely taught in any training environment on a flat range. Great stuff!!

Good stuff, sir. I don't think the Check 360 looks as goofy as that "Charlie's Angels" position (muzzle up/gun on side of your head).
That Charlie's Angels hold makes me cringe about as much as when I see someone "teacupping" their gun. Ugh...
