Alternative Method:
Step 1: Steal... I mean borrow 99% of code of platformer
Step 1.5: Add a literal dishwasher as a player
Step 2: Take music from -Xaf, preferably the one that goes like: dun dun, dun dun, dun dun dun dun dun dun
Step 3: Name it : Grass - A Platformer or whatever theme your platformer has
Step 4: Put in description: This took 7862387648723687 hours of work so I would appreciate loving and favoriting this project
Step 5: Add every single tag in the in the history of the universe like #pear
Step 6: Get your screen and and tilt it 10 degrees anti-clockwise and add title for thumbnail
Optional Step 7: Actually code and add mobile controls

I’ve got 2.5k and I’ve been on for 2 years and I think I just got pretty lucky lol. I’m mainly an art scratcher, but I’m not just a lazy one that posts slideshows of art. Getting featured, curated, or on trending is pretty much the only at to get fame.

I think that what destroyed the community is the current times. Kids nowadays get brainwashed by social media and they think that fame is the only way to be happy, not counting the parents who doesn't give attention to them.

ive been on scratch for a long time. but some scratchers who existed shorter than me get so much more popular. my projects dont really get veiws. the average is 7 veiws. some projects i spent so long on but they only get 1 veiw and that 1 veiw is me

How to get popular on scratch:
It's simple, you don't. The algorithm hates you, it doesn't matter if you spent 2 trillion years remaking Call of Duty Black ops, or completely recoding Google into scratch or something. You will NEVER get on the front page! The front page will only contain crappy platformers, bad/meh "animations" and Griffpatchs shit. I don't even think most of the people on the front page even exist. I mean seriously have you ever met someone that did that? Perhaps they all live in Ohio, yeah that must be why. Cause if we could actually meet them maybe we could ask whatever secrets of the universe they discovered. But remember, the scratch algorithm will always say FUCK YOU whenever you do anything. I'm so discouraged right now I don't even want to try, since everything just gets drowned into a cesspool of white noise, and the stuff that is actually meaningful remains lost to time forever. I have found a few games of ASTONASHING quality in the past and they had like 28 views, I mean WHAT THE HELL!!?? Why do the people wo just basically shit stuff out get so much exposure, when the people who poor their hearts and soul into stuff still get nothing, I hate it. So yeah, basically use youtube videos and shorts to promote your games, and if you ever make a game that gets, kind of popular, just use it to promote your other games as well. As depressing as my whole comment has been, I just wanted to give you a little bit of advice as to not nuke your feelings to-to badly. But the BEST advice I can give you is, life is REALLY unfair and it SUCKS ALOT!!! As much as people say hard work will eventually get you somewhere, they are wrong. ITS ALL LUCK. NO MATTER WHAT. REMEMBER ITS LUCK. Sure the harder you work, the longer you work, and the better your fruits of your labor are will slightly increase your "chances" to get that luck overtime. It really only ever amounts to something massive if you are, you guessed it, LUCKY ENOUH TO HAVE LIFE THAT WAY!!! Another tip: get featured in the scratch home section. featured projects can also be trending. but, how do I get featured? well, check their featured projects. "BUT AM I GONNA JUST PLAY!?!? NYUDF8GGYUDNERSEUEIGE" no. what's great about these projects is that they're unique. so play through the project to see what makes them unique. like amazing art style. then try to make a similar project from that unique project.
