I like how people say its unbalanced and everything, when in real war, you don't go up to your enemy and say ok. I'm goin to have a fighter squadron, armor and some infantry, and your going to fight me with the same thing that I'm fighting you with so its even. Germany held many titles during WW2 and I hate how everyone thinks of them as the bad guys, they weren't. The SS, the Nazis were. They performed the brutal killings of innocents, not the German army. Germany almost conquered all of Europe and was fighting on multiple fronts with the combined forces of Russia, America and Britain and they managed to hold out for 5 years, Germany brought so many advances in military technologies, the modern tank designs and aircraft designs were all derived from stolen German intel when they lost the war. Caleb Brayton The Maus was not bad at all. It was nearly indestructible to other tanks of the time, nothing would have been able to stand up to it. But it took so much resources and time to make that they just were not efficient. There were 2 Maus tanks built. One was completely finished and the other had a wooden turret as a place holder until it's real turret was finished being produced. The fully complete Maus was used to defend the factory that it was built in and only lasted a few days before it was destroyed by a strafing run from American aircraft that set of it's ammo rack in the hull, completely destroying the hull of the tank but the turret was almost 100% intact. The other Maus never saw combat and was captured by the Russians as a trophy. They acquired the turret of the destroyed Maus and then used that turret on the hull of the intact Maus and replaced the wooden turret. That tank is now in the Kubinka tank museum in Russia, it doesn't work sadly as almost all of the inside components were completely destroyed and the secrets to making the Maus were lost due to heavy bombing on the factory that it was made in destroying the blueprints. The Maus was too slow and heavy, to do maintenance on the tank was extremely difficult and would put it out of combat for weeks. It was a sitting duck for aircraft to just drop bombs on it and it was a very large target. It couldn't cross any bridge of the time as it would just break it due to it's incredible weight. I think the Maus was an engineering marvel, but it was too difficult to produce and was flawed because aircraft could destroy it so easily. But if you put aside the issue of aircraft, the Maus would easily take on entire columns of tanks and destroy them. It had a 128mm main gun that could easily destroy any tank of the time, it had a secondary 75mm gun to take out weaker targets like infantry or armored cars. The Russians biggest tank gun at the time was the 122mm on the IS-2 which couldn't even come close to penetrating the front. The Americans biggest gun during WW2 I believe was the 90mm on the Pershing which again was way too weak to even come close to destroying the Maus. Germany made amazing machines during WW2 and only idiots will deny that. Germany is still making amazing tanks today, the Leopard 2 which is one of the best tanks in the world.
***** Actually the V2 rocket was the world first long ranged guided ballistic missle. That with the atomic bomb would'uv doubled Germanys effort against the allies especially Russia would be dead. Along with the Horten Ho 229 Germany would easily avoid radar and disrupt ally supply lines and runways. Germany would'uv been the top military power in weapons but nope they lost.
***** You can say that made amazing machines during WW2 and sure they were pushing the limits of their technology but the thing is their "masterpieces" took too long to refine, early models of tigers and panthers where plagued with mechanical issues and improper crew training, when the Tiger II rolled onto the scene you had a hugely overweight vehicle with the same transmission and engine as the Tiger 1, they were impressive machines no doupt and when they first appeared they had no equal but the mechanical faults, improper crew training aswell as lack of supplies led to the vehicles performing way below their expectations.
Dieselpunk...just pure heavy industrial dieselpunk. If you close youre eyes to this music you van litteraly see the mechanical horror machines manufactured in an automated factory.
i played the USA for 4 reasons 1. I'm scottish and the USA starts out with Scotland so i get to fight for Scotland 2. The USA is (or at least, in theory is) a Democracy and democracy kicks ass 3. They Won 4. FREEDOM
The power of The Wehrmacht demanded respect. Demanded attention and incurred fear among those who were underneath their iron boot, their clanking metal and overwhelming might of industrial power and spirit. An army truly ahead of its time but a force wasted on madness and evil ambitions. I won't defend a single Nazi, their politics and their goals but what I will say that, as just a massive military force, Germany had the best time had to offer. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The Kriegsmarine had warships that was not only beautiful but extremely powerful despite lacking numbers. Can you imagine the H-44 class of Battleships roaming the seas escorted by the Bismarcks? Yeah... ESCORTS. Their U-boats covering their territory with their signature and sleek designs and admirably amazing technology performing deep sea patrols. Who the hell would dare cross into their waters without authorization? Especially with Graf Zepplin-class carriers roaming with not only large quantities of aircraft to cover their powerful navy but the carriers themself strong enough with absurd secondary armament in case a ship or squadron would break through to the carrier and inflict damage upon it. The Lufftwaffe with some of the most brilliant looking aircraft that were designed for their role. Combat and defense when necessary. FW-190T Focke-wulfs piloted by extraordinary aces of Germany with flocks of Messerschmidt BF-109s following them into battle when called upon. They would set the stone of the jet age with their Me-262s and HO-229 designs, hell, the HO-229 was WAY ahead of its time. The B-2 Spirit bombers didn't come until the late 1980s and introduced in 1997 due to cost and of course, role as "Stealth bombers". But these "flying wings" were in 1945! Imagine Germany leading the charge of the space race? Then the ground pounders of The Wehrmacht with their intelligent tactics, their superior weaponry alongside their specialized troops like the fallschirmjäger paratroop regiments with their fancy STG-44s and very interesting FG-42 rifles would make any nation of ANY caliber question their desire to attack such a powerful nation. Not just their weapons but their training and iron will to crush their enemies in more ways than 5. Their vehicles were powerful and their tanks even moreso. The legendary STUGs and Tigers were feared and the stories of King Tigers even moreso. The Maus and E-100s would set the stone as damn-near impenetrable fortresses that no tank could match and then some. Can you really imagine a world where this kind of power, this strength and awesome yet terrifying and commanding stand Germany held and them being allies? A powerhouse that if any nation wanted the world under their thumbs, Germany would; by itself, kick the living crap out of them? This song really captures their might and potential longivity in the world. The possibilities of what could have been if it wasn't for madness, political power and revenge from the past world war. So much to say, so much we could imagine, evil or good. My hat to you Jesper Kyd, you made a splendid theme indeed to make my mind roam, music like this always puts me into a state like this.
@Noa Rosin You do have a Point. When I see the H44, all I see are just 8 Big Guns and a lot more Unused Deck Space. Given time the Graf Zeppelin could've been Successful, it's just that they didn't finish her due to Certain Land Campaigns requiring more Attention, after all by 1942 Germany is fighting a Two-Front War, but unlike the US, they're surrounded by Land on both Fronts, not Water, you can see where this is going. But still, if Germany had been more Friendly with Japan, maybe the Latter could've sent some Friendly Designers over to help on the Graf Zeppelin and Future Carriers made by Germany, and the Former could deal with their US Problem, just after they focus more on taking Africa than Britain. The Battle of Britain is a Disaster, but why not just Blockade the Channel? I could be wrong though, this is all just my Opinion. If Germany had more Competence (and by extension: Japan), we wouldn't have Operation Barbarossa until later than 1945, where Germany would still be fighting alongside Japan.
@Noa Rosin Battleships and others are not entirely useless. Even though they dont have the land capabilities like aircraft carriers do, they still can play the role of artillery in bombarding naval ports and cities, definitely giving a huge blow. And they also need to protect the carriers from other things, as... Well... Carriers dont really have guns. Best escorted with than without.
well ww2 was era of submarines and aviation speaking of naval war graf zeppelin would get pounded even by british ark royal germans had an superior edge on submarine technology but their plan z was a laughing stock todays supercarriers have a tonnage of 101k h44 was supposed to be 145k tons in 1940s it would sink before it left the harbor
A very nice theme, a bit weird at the start when you are not used to it. But srly, this theme represent completly the axis, aggressive, no mercy. A slow mass destruction army unstoppable. Thank's for uploading it. :)
Well you’re in luck cause there’s a couple guys that are working on getting a server back up for this game and are allegedly getting close getting it playable again but everyone will have to start from scratch. It’ll be either late December or early into next year, but they’re trying to get things up and going before Christmas.
The transition starting from 1:15 onward is simply beautiful. I feel the music is hinting that behind the ugly reality of faschism - in the end desperate men and women were striving and fighting to protect everything they held dear from the onslaught of vengeful nations - finally realising that a madman led them into a war they couldnt possibly win.
Lore-wise it makes complete sense. Germany was a technological juggernaut during WW2 and this music reflects it perfectly.. Some people wonder why the Soviets and the Americans are no longer on the same side. I say it's because it takes place in an alternate timeline where Germany's armored superiority allowed them to prolong the war. The final offensive across the Rhine grinded to a halt, with Germany successfully surviving the onslaught of American and Soviet troops. Despite victory across Europe being in their grasp, they were forced to retreat. Germany stages a counteroffensive, retaking most of Europe. Stalin grows impatient from the Americans' apparent incompetence, and declares the Soviet Union an independent nation, representing neither the Allies, nor the Axis. Germany and the Soviet Union are now both enemies of America, and the Japanese, British Commonwealth, and French forces have declared a ceasefire, as the war has devastated them economically. They continue to support the war effort, but are no longer capable of fighting it themselves, leaving America to fend for itself.

Oh the fucking legend who also created AC 2 theme
I just found out the same thing hahaa
Dieselpunk...just pure heavy industrial dieselpunk. If you close youre eyes to this music you van litteraly see the mechanical horror machines manufactured in an automated factory.
I play them for 5 reasons

2:Better weapons

its a good track . It feels like some heavy vehicle like tank is moving
I used this song in one of my videos. It fits perfectly.
Flyz it Dies..... You need permission from Reto Moto and the composer to do that...
Hearing this theme will remind you every time a german tank jumped infront of you mid-round.
I missed that old good times when Reto is Reto.
This theme needs to be played next time German football team plays.
Los gehts! *Wir greifen an*
The power of The Wehrmacht demanded respect.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The Kriegsmarine had warships that was not only beautiful but extremely powerful despite lacking numbers.
Best escorted with than without.
well ww2 was era of submarines and aviation speaking of naval war
graf zeppelin would get pounded even by british ark royal
germans had an superior edge on submarine technology but their plan z was a laughing stock
todays supercarriers have a tonnage of 101k h44 was supposed to be 145k tons in 1940s
it would sink before it left the harbor
Cant agree more
........Then there's the Soviet Union.......
I like it
That's the sound of the blitzkrieg
This theme sunds badass
1:30 to 1:50 is my favorite part
A very nice theme, a bit weird at the start when you are not used to it.
But srly, this theme represent completly the axis, aggressive, no mercy. A slow mass destruction army unstoppable.
Thank's for uploading it. :)
2:29 reminds me so musch of plants vs zombies

Well you’re in luck cause there’s a couple guys that are working on getting a server back up for this game and are allegedly getting close getting it playable again but everyone will have to start from scratch. It’ll be either late December or early into next year, but they’re trying to get things up and going before Christmas.

Go options and select german theme from default theme window.
I heard it randomly while playing with a friend. Maybe there was some speakers.
Options > audio > theme
***** also a part of it plays when germany captures a point
Du bist der beste Dank.
It sounds very machinelike and appropriate for the German 'War Machine' during WWII. I likey.
Sometimes I just hope the resources are gone so I can hear the amazing cutout that goes from 1:58 until 2:07.
The fact that this song is so deliberately evil is actually comical.
How do you mean?
Very powerful.
my german characters is now level 7 when soviet-american was level 1
xddddd
The transition starting from 1:15 onward is simply beautiful. I feel the music is hinting that behind the ugly reality of faschism - in the end desperate men and women were striving and fighting to protect everything they held dear from the onslaught of vengeful nations - finally realising that a madman led them into a war they couldnt possibly win.
1:30 - 2:06 is amazing!
So damn good. Jesper Kyd is a magician.
"German science is the finest"👌
They continue to support the war effort, but are no longer capable of fighting it themselves, leaving America to fend for itself.
tracked this down after hearing it in a t90 vs m1 comparison. Anyhow i collected tracked from composer Kyd previous. Freedom Fighters.
Great theme, i never played this game, but i like it already. Wehrmacht all the Way...

Many Germans have heavy machine guns (try to kill them in building) and anti tank guns and even vehicles have just as many as Soviets or Americans.
i like this song
Reminds me of the Superior German Blitzkrieg
The best theme Ever !
This song is Very Patriotic
the way the war is going in heros and generals this is a motivational song for us players who chose the germans to take back berlin
