Hi angel96benitez! Yeah this quest is a bit of a pain. Basically you need a friend or you can make a second account. Then one of you need to join the Phoenix Gang and the other The Black Arm Gang. For Phoenix speak to Barrack, for Black Arm speak to Charlie the tramp. Then just follow the guides in the video for each gang. Once each account has a half of the shield head to the Varrock Museum. Use the shield halves on the curator to get 2 certs on each account. Then use/trade the certs so that each account has 1 of each, then speak to the king. If this still doesn't make sense, check out the OSRS Wiki link in the video description. Hope you get the quest sorted! 👍
@TheLumbridgeKnight ooooh ok see it was that last part I didn't understand. Also thank man I've always have tried playing osrs since I was a little kid and all I ever did was walk around chop down trees before quiting the game lol but thanks to you I actually completed most of these quest
after I got the book n talked to habaek then I went to the pheonix underground but I can't join pheonix gang. The option just how do I get the job n get a copy of varrock herald. But nothing happen after that
Hope you can get back to this asap but i play mobile osrs and it doesnt say anything about needing a partner or second acc for this quest in the description did they update it or what am i missing?
I don't think you are missing anything, but you still need a partner or a second account as you can only join the Phoenix gang or the Black Arm gang and once you pick one that character is permanently assigned to that gang. The easiest way to do it is pick the Black Arm with your main account so you can deal with the level 20 weapons master, then make a second account and join the Phoenix gang. Then you just exchange certificates at the end. 👍
@TheLumbridgeKnight still don't understand why jagex would make a quest you can't complete without going through hoops like that and not put it in the requirements section ...yikes
Some elements of the game are still... Old School... 😬😅 Terrible joke, but yeah, A lot of it hasn't been updated or overhauled in a very long time... 😰

Hi GaryM42069 I think if you can find a black arm member, you can try to 'use' the items on the other player (just right click select use) then select your partner and it should let you swap items even though you are below the level limit for trading. 👍 Hope you got sorted 😅

FYI everyone. This quest was recently changed to where the Speak to Reldo section is also required for the Black Arm Gang

I trade my certificate but when I get it back I don’t get it back separate it tallies up with the other half I’ve already got? Any help why?
Are you trading with another of your own accounts? try 'right-click' and 'use' in the cert piece on the other account to see if that helps?

I think you need to speak to Reldo first and read the Shield of Arrav book in the library, have you done that bit?

You could always try joining the other gang instead by speaking to Charlie the Tramp near the Blue moon Inn?
