This is by far, the most underrated exploration/overland channel on UA-cam. Nobody! NOBODY is capturing this amazing beauty!! Congratulations, you guys ARE pioneers!!!!!
Oh, and in an awesome DIY classic rig!!!!! You guys are epic!!
Thank you SO much for the compliment!!
I have to say you travels are amazing but it is your narration of your adventure that keeps me tuning in.
It's like listening to poetry
Came for the adventure, stayed for the narration
Yeah I’ll say the same
Huge compliments!! Thank you.
careful when swimming in ponds or rivers, there maybe be some gators, remenber central and south america have a lot of gators. keep up the good job with this amazing videos.
Definitely a good thing to look out for, along with everything else that's poisonous lol
This one has done it. You have cinematically captured the beauties of this adventure so well
Thank you !!
I have been watching your trip thru Mexico all week now and you guys are definitely the most inspiring overland channel! You guys have inspired me to return to building my own 4x4 build keep doing everything your doing!
Also what is the song in this videos (lyrics- so long farewell bye bye). I have been searching everywhere for it
That puts MASSIVE smiles on our faces. If we can inspire, then we feel so incredibly accomplished. 🙏🏼🙏🏼 thank you for the comment!
Every video my wanderlust gets worse. For ten years, I’ve been floating on an overland idea, and you guys are giving me quite the kick in the pants to make it happen. Thanks!
You can do it!
@@ToyotaWorldRunners I’m starting to intentionally build my truck for it. Making the plans as we speak.
Make it happen.. enjoy the adventure..
You guys are doing it right, no itenerary, letting your instinct guide ya and taking your sweet ass time. Awesome footage, story telling and destinations!!! Epic Epic Epic trip & memories you'll cherish for the rest of your lives. 👏
Thank you! We are stoked to be able to follow our instincts to find these places and really experience them.
Film Making on this Video is top notch
Thank you!
You are nice people 👌 regards from 🇵🇱
You had me at "Howler Monkeys". You 2 are really in the "thick of it" and thanks for the "grand Tour" of beautiful Mexico.
Haha it definitely feels quite "thick" at times!
Imagine my delight when I opened UA-cam to see that you guys had just dropped a video 7 minutes earlier. How about the irony of you finding the one and only bag of coffee that said the one and only on the bag? Mexico was certainly enchanting and I look forward to your continues escapades.
Your bit about the familiar vs unfamiliar is so on point. I believe the continued repetition of the familiar serves to strengthen who we are while the surprise of the unfamiliar can actually change us. It is that change that keeps us going and if we're all lucky enough, it will provide us with enough spark to turn away from the comfort of the familiar.
They certainly have some talent on that coffee farm! Beautiful reflection about familiarity, thank you as always Phil!
Your steering column has been troubling your journey, till you had that bushing made. And yet, it has steered you to the most beautiful México there is. I feel sad you are leaving my country, after you depicted it like no one has ever done before. I will follow the trail you captured with your hermosos ojos. Hasta pronto amigos...
Thank you for this beautiful metaphor. You are correct as well, and our eyes and hearts are blessed for the experiences we've had in Mexico. Volveremos!!
I think if you guys change the name of your channel, others would find this channel much easier. Before your last 4 videos, i always ignored this channel because "Toyota World Runners" literally sounds like you guys do car build reviews and not overland/van videos. Glad i found you guys.
Glad you found us as well! It's our brand name, no going back now!
Your production and voice overs remind me of From Dust To Glory. An older Baja1000 movie. One of my all time favorite movies. 🤘🏻
Im so happy you loved our Coffee! Im the brains behind the branding. Would love to reach out and discuss how DIESELDORFF can be your official journey coffee.
We enjoyed it so much! Please email us at toyotaworldrunners@gmail.com
Matching onezies for the win!!!!! Love the content keeps me coming back here my fav channel on UA-cam these days
Glad you like them!
Another amazing episode. I'm thrilled with the quality and I know it's just you two filming, editing, and uploading this week after week. Thank you so much for showcasing this so well. I'm getting some TWR shirts!
Thank you for the acknowledgment and support!
All I can say is Wow. Your inspiration is awesome. Schalk ZA
Poetry in four wheels 😊
Another fantastic episode! So much time and energy goes in to the production of these videos. Appreciate you guys! Keep it up.
Omid!! You legend, thank you for your continued support!
I don't know what more beautiful. Stacey or all the blue water. I was wondering when y'all were posting a video again. I would get nervous to leave my house when I went on walks. Let's 🙏 for safe travel.
Definitely Stacey ;)
Fantastic! Living the dream..
Hi there!! Wow Guatemala is Amazing and this is just the beginning of the beauty of Central America!! Can’t wait to see Belize 😊take care ❤❤
Thank you Marcia!
Frustrating like you said not being able to buy all the great vehicles in North America. Lots of Landcruisers throughout central and South America. Another great video Tikal looked amazing. Stay safe watch for crocs as someone else mentioned in another post.
Thank you for watching!
“If we were meant to stay in one place, we’d have roots instead of feet.”
― Rachel Wolchin
Brilliant.
A cool trick i have seen on other overlanding channels is to use half deflated beach balls to take up the dead space in the fridge so stuff doesn't bounce around and spill/break. Might be something to look into if it's a repeating issue for you guys
We love that idea! We are also just getting a lot better at finishing all of the salsa ;)
No spare time lately hopefully can watch this Saturday but keep it up
You guys be safe. Much love from Vancouver
While in Guatemala I thought i seen your truck drive north as we headed south From Tikal . Then I came across this video! definitely beautiful views.
Hey TWR,
time to give some emotions back to both of you.
Two germans who love watching your channel.
On some days we take time to have a cozy breakfast at the chimney and without a doubt - your awesome videos give us some time for chilling, conversation about it, dreaming & making plans.
Your voices are very pleasant, your minds are smart & authentic and your video/fotoworks incl. your music choices are 💯 percent perfect and your way to handle nature, other people and yourselfs is respectful.
Best's out of germany 🇩🇪 and.. DANKE☝🏼😁
Wow! Ending our 2023 with an amazing compliment and gesture. First off, thank you so much for the support! Second, thank you so much for the comment. We love what we do, but these words are what keep us going.
We hope to explore Germany one day!
Cheers, and Happy New Year
Matthew and Stacey
Fantastic Narrating , Adventures , & Video…🏴☠️
Thank you!
I just flew back from Guatemala 🇬🇹 where my family is from & one thing I would have loved to see is a Quetzal in person!
It is very rare to see one from what I’ve heard & there aren’t many around.
We would love to see one too!
Love the map addition
Enchanting and very engaging vlog 👍 Really hoping you guys can zoom in some of the South America wildlife as their colorful presence is that much enticing
When you drive closer to the bottom border of Guatemala, you'll find a town that my mother was born in called Querzaltepeque .
Beautiful and some areas it's like walking back in time .
Good luck on your travels ..
Thank you for the tip!
@ToyotaWorldRunners
Remember for breakfast black beans , eggs sunny side up , CREMA , and a pan Frances with coffee....
Can't go wrong .... so many memories .
@ToyotaWorldRunners also you should visit Esquipulas, you'll find the church of the black Christ , very famous tourist location . You'll see everyone walk in normal and exit walking backwards it's custom not to give christ your back .
We drove from LA to Guatemala when I was in high school and it took us almost 2 months round trip in a beat up 80s chevrolet Van no AC ! Best time of our lives ... good luck 👍 💓
We haven’t tried that yet, will put it on our list. And will have to put the church on the list as well. We will make sure not to walk the wrong way, that’s a great tip!
Super glad to have met you guys in Belize! Stay safe and come back to visit anytime! You’re always welcome in Hopkins!
You and family enriched our experience so much! We will see you again 🤙🙌
Another great episode.. I literally tear up as I watch you guys explore the wonders of southern Mexico and enter Guatemala. You are living many people's dreams. And was that a Barrilito beer in a can? It defeats the whole purpose of a Barrilito. Loll.
Thank you for being here with us!
Ha, yeah.. couldn't find the bottles! It felt weird for sure.
Home bedridden watching all these mexico trip. Amazing videography almost enjoyable other then the constant crying over the heat! No shit its hot! Where you think you went!? “Ahh pour me its so hot on this amazing trip in a badass right we built with no ac”
F%^*kn torture listening to it now but hooked on the videography.
You sound like a retirement home
Your appreciation of life, people, and each other shines in this video - makes a mamas heart full to see you two sooo Happy - much love 💖
That makes us so happy to hear
The beer is ja-bah-lee which means warthog (wild boar) in spanish
Keep safe . Trust your gut !! Florida says hello
It's crazy how much nostalgia I just got from this. I was in Guatemala in the off season less than a year ago and experienced many of the same places as you. What a special place.
Hello from Langley BC btw!
This is incredible! You guys are killing it!! Every upload is so much more authentic to you both! 🤘🏻
Thank you so much!!
Y'all are amazing! ❤
The water is so clear in some areas I guess you could see if there were alligators or crock's, one or the other or both if both exist in that area. What a spectacular place, and great video, I subscribed right away because I can tell your videos are a cut above many others. Good luck with the rest of the trip.
Thank you for being a part of the TWR fam! We used to watching out for bears and cougars, the gators is a new one!
@@ToyotaWorldRunners Thank YOU! I wasn't sure of the alligator or Croc situation so I looked it up. Alligators are only native to the US, but extend just off a sliver of the Southern most tip of Texas into Mexico. not off of Calif, Arizona or New Mexico. It is Crocodiles that extend all the way down the American continent into South America including Mexico, Guatemala, Belize, and further down. In both salt, fresh, and brackish waters such as marshes, swamps, etc. Human attacks can happen, but fatal attacks are rare. nas.er.usgs.gov/queries/FactSheet.aspx?speciesID=221
Excuse me, alligators are native to China too.
@@ToyotaWorldRunners Crocodiles go all the way down to South America. Sorry, hope you don't mind just a few posts.I was a Computer Field Technician for Dell's service providers and taught computing skills to seniors for 20 years and have done a lot of research for people in the past and its a dang habit I can't seem to break yet. Because I'm interested in what people are doing. You appear most capable to gather any information you need, so I thought I would post this for your followers too. Because I have a fear of going to Florida or the south or anywhere where their are gators or crocs, this research has put my mind to somewhat of a rest in realizing these creatures are just trying to survive in the wild in their own habitats, and aren't looking for any trouble in going out of their way to snatch up humans.
From Wikipedia. Not the most reliable but good for general information.
"Morelet's crocodile can be found in freshwater habitats in Central America and along the Gulf of Mexico stretching through Belize, Guatemala, and to Mexico.[21] The Belizean pine forests are an example of the type of ecoregion in which they occur.[22]
In their freshwater habitats, they prefer isolated areas that are secluded. This species of crocodile can mainly be found in freshwater swamps and marshes which are located inland, and in large rivers and lakes.[23] Both of these habitats are forested to help add cover.[7]
The Morelet can also be found along the coast in brackish waters[2] and the grassy savannas on the Yucatán Peninsula.[24] These crocodiles become much more distributed during the rainy seasons when flooding occurs and it is easier for them to move elsewhere.[24]
Tikal was incredible, and the dogs playing with the monkey, how cool is that. Greetings from Maple Ridge
We couldn't have scripted that if we tried!
This is just so epic!
Your truck is outstanding
Your video is outstanding
You are outstanding
Your music is too loud and often causes us to tune out.
Stay Baddass
You guys are thriving, having fun, exploring and sharing great content. I remember your video when you entered mainland Mexico and were not clear what was ahead of you. Man I am glad to see what you are finding and sharing with us.
Our instincts have definitely led us to some incredible places and people, very grateful! Thanks for watching.
Overlanding just keeps getting better. Been noticing all them Toyota's in your videos. To bad can't get in Canada. Like your off bath destinations. Roll on to the next overlanding adventures. Your Toyota is awesome.
Thank you for watching! Maybe one day we'll be able to get them in Canada 🥲
Y’all’s storytelling is amazing, and seeing the remnants of lost civilization is fascinating!! Keep up the good work!! :))
Thanks so much!
It may be too late but when I’m Belize, I highly recommend visiting the village of Hopkins on the coast. It’s an amazing town with some of the most genuine and happy people I’ve ever met in my travels. Plus the drive from Belmopan to Hopkins is truly a treat.
Stunning guys!
Nunchairku. You guys are incredible, yet so credible! Thank you for sharing.
Gran episodio!
Incredible
Oh wow, you've done it again! Absolutely fabulous and the narrative, as always, is brilliant! You are so so right... A smile is the BEST currency!
Love you both, stay safe and keep smiling ❤️🥰❤️
Epic adventure we all need these days… very inspiring!
Javali is javali or wild board with long tusk
you two are bang on with the tunes in your videos amazing so stoked for you two!!!
Thank you! TWR soundtrack!
beautiful
haven't watched the video yet, but hope you enjoy Gautemala. My wife have been there 3 times, and always really enjoyed it - Tikal, Lago Atitlan, Antigua; I'm sure you'll cover more ground than we did. Safe travels.
44 minutes of bliss!
Very "Mosquito Coast" vibe. Great book and movie.
What an amazing adventure. Very awesome the way you have captured it and shared with us. I’d love to do something this one day.
Glad you enjoyed it! And yes you should.
Guys, if you blink you'll miss the best thing in Guatemala "LAKE ATITLAN". Safe travels 😊
Absolutely! The speedbumps as you come down the mountain in to Panahachel are huge, but won't be a problem for you.
It's pretty big, I don't think we'll miss it ;)
@@ToyotaWorldRunners The Hard Rock Pana is great. You have to try your hand at making the best corn flour tortillas in Guatemala.
Hello from Louisiana, be safe and have fun 😊
What part of Louisiana?
Thanks for being here!
Once again, another great adventure. Always looking forward to your episodes. Next time you get into the Mezcal, would you pray to the rain gods to send some back to the island? We are burning up! Cheers.
We'll fill up our water tank with it on our way home, how's that?
Thanks
Thank you so much!! We are so happy you're here!
Love the video you will laugh on me because your video I bought a 4#4 truck yesterday 😂
Haha we love that!
@@ToyotaWorldRunners unfortunately I can not upload a picture here but was a nice deal tan is for your videos I love it
Darn... I was really hoping you'd have flown the drone through that hole! You guys are funny when you're buzzed...🤣 Jabalí= Wild Boar... pretty good beer from what I hear.
Oh man.. The desire was there! This is why we need a second "beater" drone 😆
Y’all are on a trip of a lifetime
Beautiful footage! One suggestion tho-
Music 🎶 without lyrics appeals to a wider audience. Just my 2cents
Your channel is awesome. The editing is so good. Right up their with my other favorite adventure channel @Destination_Adventure by Dustin Porter. Keep it up! I love that truck build!
Thank you so much! We’re happy you enjoy them 🤙🏼
Awesome! Can’t wait to see Belize. You should have got Egan to take y’all out fishing or snorkeling while you were there!
Next time!
Can't spill if it's in your tummy!
Love your videos, planning on doing the same trip when we move to are Costa Rica any chance your going through there as well 🍻 my family and I lived in Belize for just over a year before Covid brought us back to Canada. Everyone need to experience the many amazing cultures throughout this journey we call life. Maybe much less hate and miss understanding 🍻🌴
That's awesome! Yes we will go through CR before we hit Panama to ship our rig to South America.
@@ToyotaWorldRunners Great look forward to seeing your travels and experiences through Costa Rica.
Cheers and safe travels 🍻🌴
Greetings from the other side of this gem

Thanks again for all your work stay safe
❤🤙🖖
Sounds like a good time was had with the Zoo 😅
Thank you for watching!
Baadassss! Safe travels!
Greetings from the sunny south Okanagan, thanks for the video update. The Howler Monkeys are really something aren't they? Had family who spent time in Guatemala and Suriname and they talked about not quite ever getting used to them. We're only at the mid 30's now here, so it's been a mild, somewhat cool summer for us so far. Safe travels you two.
Thank you for the continued support and updates! I can't say we'll miss the Howler alarm once it's gone haha.
that was a cool intro. inspired me to take more risks
👊🏼
those Guatemalan roads look like you need 4HI lol. beautiful footage guys!
Thanks Jared! And it definitely wouldn't hurt 😆
Your videos make me want to pack all my shit right now and fly to Chiapas and rent a 4wd vehicle for a couple weeks. You two also seem to do very well together. I hope you two keep the adventures going indefinitely.
Do it! Chiapas is unreal!!!! And we will 💪🏼
Agreed! We in the north get screwed out of all the great long lasting vehicles. 😢
It's so frustrating!
Love love you video it is refreshing and breathtaking, please visit my Country and do a video like this Guyana south America go on the Rupunin Savannah on the border of Brazil,Venezuela and surinam u will enjoy it
It’s on our list of possibilities! Glad you enjoyed the video 🤙🏼
who makes that amazing, self assembling chair !?!?! I must have one lol....
Nature Hike! Chinese, but great quality!
We viewed your videos and are absolutely stoning and beautiful. One Question: why no videos from Honduras nor Nicaragua?? What happened to Paraguay, Uruguay, Bolivia.... just wondering
Thank you for watching! We made a shorter video of Nicaragua and Honduras as we didn’t spend much time there due to a shipping date. The video is on Patreon!
And we’re still on the road 💪🏼
Sooo cool 🤘🏼
❤❤
Cheers
D2.4t swap in the future?
No sir. Petrol for the foreseeable future!
Excellent!!!
Thank you Ian! Cheers!
Stay in Mexico visit Cancun better than go to south
Nice videos 👍🏻
Too hot! lol We've both been to the Yucatan before so we're excited for new stuff!
Love the channel.....except for the beer reviews.
Yes, yes, yes! That is Toyota land. Just say “22r” and people will know you are part of the gang.
It's the good gang to be a part of here lol
Hi Guys, Hermanator was Vancouver Island Brewing, not Granville Island Brewing . just saying ! lol Enjoy the beers ! ( i miss Hermanator !)
You're RIGHT! Gosh it's been so long we're losing it.
Love your whole series but y’all must go back and number your episodes so we can see them in order. It’s frustrating to go through the vids and try to figure out the order.
They are all in a playlist! USA, Mexico etc.
When I pulled them up it jumps from build to travel and back to travel with the episodes , I guess that’s the way they are set up. I was referring to being in chronological order, awesome stuff though, keep ‘em coming 😀
@@doittoday1 Hmm that's weird. They are listed in chronological order in the playlist. Don't know why they don't play that way, we'll have a look!
Thank you
HEY!!! I know you made a video about the power source you guys chose but I can’t remember which one it is and do you still like it? CHEERS!!!
Our portable power source? Ecoflow Delta II and we love it! Use it every day.
but yourll did get the Toyota 4Runners and Tacomas!!
👍
I’ll join your support group… what I would do for a troopy here in Colorado.
We're going to need a big venue I think.
