hi, love the videos. I've been searching and not finding much luck in finding plans, but, I have a specific boat in mind I'd like to build for myself. I'd like to build a v bottom boat, about 18' in length, with exposed wooden frames on the inside. I'm open to how the remote console or dash orientated. Do you have any suggestions for plans? Thank you in advance. Btw, when I click your link to spirainternational, it leads to a versatube website.
Would you have any information on clearances/dimensions for transom/splash wells? I am building a 18 ft fishing boat. I will have a 150 and a 10 hp outboard mounted. I am not sure how much room I need to build in. I am having trouble finding that info.
Hi there! Im very interested in building me a boat! Iam from namibie africa, factory hulls is insanely expensive overhere thats why i resort to make my own. I would like your input on maybe a panga( like those cause of fuel eficiency) with high gunnels where can i get hold of plans?
Hi Jeff, I like your designs but may I ask why the transom comes up so high and then has a large low cutuout centre section to allow for the outboard ? Seems if the point of the high stern is lost with that large cutout. Greetings from Melb Australia.
I design in splash wells on the larger boats, and recommend them on the smaller boats used in rougher water, so the high transom works just as it should, even with the cutout. Some boats can build with motor wells, as well, that keeps full transom height.
What type boat would you recommend for south Florida offshore fishing it’s pretty rough water. Or like a place in west Africa with rough waves. I wanted to build a center console type boat but your plans are more in my budget. Basically I want a boat that handles like a center console but don’t know which one of the plans to pick.
Loving this series mate . Thank you so much
Thanks Jeff. Really enjoying these educational videos!
THANK you for making these videos!
Excellent video. Definitely want to build a landing craft style for Alaska. Hopefully start this year!
