wow she's in really good shape for her age and for being used since 1967. hard to find a 16 year old like me that loves construction equipment. I learn more and more Everytime I watch your videos, thank you for sharing these videos of these old machines. it's neat to see these old Euclid's, especially from your channel. Mike

A 74TD technically isn't manual nor fully automatic. These trucks have what's called a Powershift Allison transmission, where you shift as the rpm's increase but without the need of a clutch pedal

Great vids for the old Euclid machines. You present them in a very interesting, entertaining, and informative way. Thank you for taking the time to do these.I was wondering if you have done a documentary of the '60's model Euclid earth movers with the two engines, one up front and one in the rear. My first summer job was with a grading company as a "go fetch it" guy but eventually I got to operate the "double barrel" Euclids and what a rush! If I remember correctly, the rear engine was a two stroke Detroit Diesel and the front engine was a 4-stroke Detroit Diesel and when that rear 2-stroke kicked in you knew you had some big help back there moving dirt. And the sound of both of them under load was music.....it really was.

beboboy mann Thank you for the compliment! I do take pride in my work and am always pleased when I hear that people enjoy and learn a lot from them. The only twin engine Euclid documentary I've filmed recently is an R-62, which will be coming up in the future.

Oh I always wondered why you see dumpers with the exhaust connected to the box.

@jix177 It may have been. As you can see, the truck itself was repainted.

Automatic gear ? Or does it have clutch pedal?

Good walkaround again. Looks surprisingly fresh for a 44 year old machine, probably got reconditioned at some point?

I drive a 74-TD. Instead of running the exhaust as you see here the one I drive has two straight pipes coming up through the hood with no mufflers. Wake the dead loud! Great truck though.

I can tell you that an 95FD is not an R-35. The 95FD is an R-20; introduced in 1962 and replaced in 1965...so that gives you a ballpark range of when your truck was built.
