Working on t 56 motors and test cell and c 130 in VXE 6 was the best job I ever did. Wish they would have done a JATO launch. Glad to see you have a new Aircraft today .
Man, I don't know, but there is just SOMETHING about that particular color of blue the Angels paint their jets, and the yellow details really pop out against it. Those are just the most beautiful planes to look at, and Fat Albert too.
Never been on Fat Albert...BUT as a Combat Security Police Troop I have endured 30+ Assault Take Off and landings with a variety of Loads (95 Troops in Combat Gear--One APC and 25 Troops--2 APC's, 20 Troops and 5 man Combat Control Team performing a HALO Jump--ETC). Thank your cousin for his service. I served from-2004-2013 and was medically retired out because of significant injuries as well in Iraq on my 2nd and last deployment.
@CCWSig Yeah,, The day we shot in the cockpit they did not have the audio patch cable with them, the one day they forgot it.. We had to improvise and use the audio from a flight the following day, or something like that. Plus the 1080p AVCINTRA codec was not cooperating that day,, The 6 channels of audio were giving us problems. My audio guy was having a hell of a time in the heat, and the DAT recorder was low on batteries, so we had to make due with what we had. Thanks for noticing though :)
Fat Albert - Cool Nicknamed plane carrying pink dress lady in the front "seat". Reminds me some extremely funny movie Everyone must see! XD Great ride to have!
'13 J model Mez to BAF two week R&R C-17 space A to Ramstein. High out of my mind off hashish. Assault landing just like that, taxi to the green ramp, cargo door opens and the only word spoken the whole flight was "BAGRAM!!" yelled by the loadmaster. Bizarre but truly unforgettable experience. Also, worth mentioning, a friend of mine was killed in a C-130 crash, J-Bad '15. Alberto Marin. The fact haunts me knowing that he was such a good man, amongst all the absolute sociopaths over there, and had to go out like that.
@@a77boy Thank you. It really means a lot hearing that. Being over there, ask anyone maybe they'll say the same. It takes something away from you that you never really get back. Definitely rewired after 2+ yrs of Afghanistan.
Hey, I like the Stones as much as anyone else, but great googly moogly, I couldn’t hear a damn thing the pilots were saying! Yes, that probably makes me a BOOMER! Aircraft engines and cockpit comms are what I’d rather hear! I can listen to Honky Tonk Women over and over on AppleTunes. And yes, I hate watching musical acts that require a host of dancers to cover a singer’s inadequacies! Sincerely, A legitimately grumpy old man
I love the coms also. Sadly these had a high pitched electrical interference burned into the recording. I may go back someday and try for a reedit. Thanks for taking the time out to watch and comment.
I agree. I would much rather listen to the pilots and controllers instead of trying to decipher it through all that noise. Although I did like the theme song to the cartoon "Fat Albert" at the beginning. When that music ended, all the music should have stopped for the video
I agree however….. switching from camera to camera, some without any mics, some who mics would have been hissing and popping with the wind, a natural recording’s audio leaves much to be desired at times
Absolutely dig the Blue Angels, and as a retired Marine myself, Fat Albert is my favorite. That said, I struggled to watch this with the music being louder than the aircrew’s actual voices. Really not cool.
John: This is the first chance I've had to sit down and watch this - and it BLEW ME AWAY! I'm going to send the link to Eddie Jorge and the Fat Albert crew. I doubt they have ever had anvything like this done for Bert. I am so happy that you and the TV69 guys enjoyed the flight .. and it was MY PLEASURE to set it up for you. I wish 1000 times over things would had been different and i could have stayed in but there was no way with the extent of my injuries.
Music is distracting from the audio and frankly not in the UA-cam music library which means the music owners can come along and take the who thing away from you, be very careful of copyright.
They are in a clear plexiglass bubble. Their head and shoulders are actually above the top of the fuselage. Best view ever in there but you can get sick really easily because it is very hot in there as the AC blows downwards and doesn't get up there.
