Hi Carl, This Mehano Mountain Express Loco is a gem, its an amazing looking and running Loco. I have spent a little time today fitting finer wires to the tender coupling plug as the ones I first put were too stiff. Thanks for watching. Cheers, Paul.👍👍🙏
Hi Windy, I am very happy how the Mehano Steamer runs. I really like the shunter now its in a green livery, just need a few touch ups. Cheers, Paul.👍👍🙏
That Mehano runs beautifully Paul, i thought it was a Rivarossi for a second. I have a Bachmann version of the same loco, it runs okay for a Bachmann. The paintwork on the Class 8 looks really good, it makes it look like a much better model. The M7 runs like a ghost, it can be seen and not heard. I quite like them as a loco, and for some reason they do hold their value as a model. This has been a really enjoyable series mate, especially they way you have improved their performance. Steven.
Hi Steven, I am very happy how well the Mehano Steamer looks and runs. I just need to change the wires on the tender plug to finer ones as the wires I fitted are too stiff. When I looked at the Lima 08 in the video I noticed I had missed a few spots so a touch up is needed. As I said I am not a fan of the BR blue livery on these Locos so a repaint in green it was. I call my M7 the "wisperer" it is probably the quietest loco I have and is a great looking model. I bought it new over 8 years ago, it doesnt get run very much so its still in good condition. I am glad you have enjoyed my Steamy Sundays and for all your support. Next Sunday I will feature some used Diesels that are having a makeover I think you might like the end results. Cheers, Paul.👍👍🙏
Hi Paul, again a very interesting video from the beginning to the end. That Southern train is fantastic. Although these coaches are not prototypical, they look good, especially with the passengers in it (how did you get them in, great job). The Lima diesel is so smooth, wow! The connecting rods are just a bit too shiny, to my taste at least. That Mehano is doing great on your curves. Thanks for sharing this video! Cheers ✋Erik
Hi Erik, These 4 wheel coaches are good for my tight branch line curves, although not prototypical they look nice. I am thinking of painting the Limas connecting rods in red they do look too shiny. I am very happy with my latest Mehano, one of the best steamers I have in my collection now. Cheers, Paul.👍👍🙏
Gid moaning Mimi, I lik mi lookoos to rin smothlee, Ze Miheenoo iz rooning lik a rools roos. I av wun Starmer on mi washlist bit most woot till Crossmass. Rene Atwa, The Tin o,clik nose. 😂
Hi Patrick, The SR M7 was the last new Hornby Loco I bought over 8 years ago, since then I have mostly bought used one and like to restore them. Cheers, Paul.👍👍🙏
@@paulvozman842 I also like restoring locomotives. In 2022 I brought my old trainset home from its resting place on top of the wardrobe in my ex room at my parent's house. It consisted in three Lima locomotives and some passenger stock and goods wagons, plus a few buildings. Since then I've expanded the fleet with second hand purchases on the Vinted platform adding Jouef, Piko, Hornby acHO, Lima, GèGè and Kleinbahn locomotives and rolling stock. Steam engines are my favourite, but I've also like old Italian electric locos. I also enjoy making scratch built freelance railcars and rail buses based on existing models in a "what if" scenario, using diesel running units. Your layout is beautiful, mine is very basic as I don't have space for a permanent one. That factory is a real cracker!
Hi Clive, I just need to connect some finer wires to allow the tender to move more freely. I am very happy with this Loco its a great runner. Cheers, Paul.👍👍🙏
hello paul have really enjoyed your steam Sunday videos has been a great series of videos had taken a little break from the hobby and youtube but am slowly catching up with your channel have a good sunday cheers for now al 🚂🚂😁😁👍👍🚋🚋
Hi Al, its good to see you back in the hobby. Thanks for watching my videos and for the kind comments its most appreciated. I am very happy with the Mehano Steamer it runs very smoothly and quietly. Have a great week. Cheers, Paul.👍👍🙏
Hey Paul another nice video matey 😊.I have been so busy in the garden to play with my trains at the moment. You are right about the cost of new items they are getting closer to the £250 to £300 average cost now for a half decent loco. The maker I have had my eye on at the moment is Accurascale they seem to be able to keep it to a more realistic price.Take care Paul.
Hi Michael, I am also spending more time outside, been testing my sub in the pool. In my next video I hope to show some Diesels I bought used and after motor changes and new liveries have spent a fraction of what a new locos cost. I have seen Sams Trains reviewing Accurascale Locos they seem to be very well made, great if they can keep the prices down. Cheers, Paul.👍👍🙏
Good Morning Paul.I think a lot of the problems people have is when they buy ‘fully loaded’ locos,I mean don’t get me wrong some I have seen on DCC are fantastic to watch, but they should be for the price. But more often than not they can be a right ball ache too 😭😏✌️
Hi Michael, I like to keep my DC Locos simple with Led lamps in some and a few added details. I have two DCC Locos that rarely get used, I may convert the Black 5 to DC one day. I agree with you, these DCC Locos are great to watch but can have issues. Cheers, Paul.👍👍🙏
Great video dear Paul, the Gronk is one of my fav shunter

Hi Alberto, thanks so much for the very kind comments. Glad you like my 08 Shunter.

Another enjoyable Sunday treat, Paul. It's good to see you haven't had any traffic chaos caused by the local refuse collection team... Cheers James 😁👍
Hi James, thanks for the great comments, I am lucky I dont have all the chaos of the bins being emptied on my layout. Cheers, Paul.👍👍🙏
@paulvozman842 it's always manic in Dylington, on bin day 😁👍
Hi Paul, awesome video, great looking mehano steam locomotive. The shunter definitely looks better in green..👍👍👌

Nice locomotives. I also buy exclusively second hand. That SR tank engine is a real beauty!
