LOVE these videos. Thank you for sharing this! I have recently discovered Nerida and after watching several of her diagnosis and treatment videos I am recommending them to others to help us all learn how to take care of our skin better. I never thought it would be possible to have completely clear skin, or to shrink my pores, until I found Nerida Joy's videos. Thank you all for sharing your expertise!
"Only 15% of the population have oily skin" wow I feel unique now, thanks. Otherwise though, great job! Loved the detailed description and analysis of the procedure and face.
She's not saying she's not cleansing her skin, she's saying, she may not be cleansing her skin properly, or that she's using the right cleanser for her skin to address those issues. Nothing is a one size fits all.
It's good to have a facial at some point in your life. It can cost from $50 to whatever depending on the services. Great investment. Plus, drinking loads of water hydrates and detoxes the skin. It heals and rejuvenates especially as you sleep.
Please stop telling us how to do our jobs. Our hands are always clean and doing an extraction with bare hands covered with a tissue is okay because we know how much pressure to use. Be easy people, shes okay and her skin looks great!
@@brittanymyers7552 exactly they are like cult followers. She is clearly sick and her skin is gray. It's a mystery why anyone would follow the skincare advice of a woman who is not well, changes their info, contradicts science based research on ingredients. Also is she a practicing derm?its the craziest sh!t. I am so glad someone is on this planet with me 😙
You ever notice how around her mouth is discolored it's so odd and the amount of spf she used lol I know you have to use enough but my god idk how she has time to do all the videos and film.
I just don't get this kinda cult following either.....she really does talk a whole lot of nothing.....it blows my mind. Somethings she says actually makes me laugh out load. But hats off to her she obviously making a fortune from this and v successful but bloody hell. This video has soooo much wrong information its unreal.
Nerida this is a question for you i loved your video especially when you said you loved Extractions as i do, i go to a beauty centre and get a Guinot Hydraderma electrician facial every six weeks and i use good creams at home what really bothers me is around my nose area its dark with large pores iv asked lots of beauty centres how can i get rid of these and never got any good answeres im hopeing you can help and i get a reply
Wow this lady really was informative ... And brutally honest... Didn't know you need eye cream/gel 2 times a day. Cleansing pores/extractions makes pores smaller. Your inside shows on your outside. Great info.. Are you guys in new York or California?
I'm about to start school to become and esthetician and when she said something about them secretly liking doing the extractions I snorted cause it's true 😂🖤
What is your opinion on Platinum in skincare products? I need your expert opinion Adrien Arpel has a Electrocharged Skin Support Capsules full of platinum to tightens and nourishes skin.
I went for a consultation.. n omg the picture my dermatologist took under that bright light.. I was horrified! I have acne since forever but appearantly Im combo skin and dehydrated/surface dry.. worst type of skin.. I feel dry yet I get oily... u can barely find products that is suitable
Lordy i would love nothing more than to be an aesthetician... Unfortunately my parents are pressuring me to major in biology and get a job in that field so that'll never happen... :(

The sky is the limit to how you want your career to go I went to Aveda Institute -makeup (special effects, body makeup, burn /scar victims, lashlifts/individual lashes, eyebrows, etc.), skincare of course extractions are fun fun fun, waxing -you do need to know brazilians even if you don’t go there male/female, cosmetic industry, permanent makeup(tatooing have to be certified so more$$$ cost to you), we did more massage than I expected(former massage therapist), bodyscrubs, you could become an instructor, dermaplaning(under a dermatologist supervision/office), tatoo removal, there is more** it can be overwhelming at the choices *you’ll find your niche, could be a lot of expense depending on what you intend on persuing. Hope I have helped!
Why don't they use gloves all the way through. I've always used vynil gloves when I gave facials. I don't like other people's skin oils on my face or their nails scratching me
Just in relation to the comment that blackheads are caused by not cleansing properly I think that’s only one of many causes of blackheads. People with excess oil on their skin have higher chance of developing blackheads from the oxidisation of these oil in their pores. Over cleansing would then cause the skin to produce more oil. So to conclude “not cleaning skin properly” as the reason for blackheads is not exactly correct.
She used downward circles during the cleanse and massage and didn't wear gloves during the extractions. I'm sorry but those are the first two things you learn NOT to do in esthetics school...
She used downward around the eye (which i think help to open the fine lines from the out corner of eye) and upward from jawline (which help for lifting up) , also it's true we must wear gloves, but her hands didn't touch the skin and used the sanitizing tissues.
This is one thing that I dislike about the esthetics community. I feel like a lot of people are like "this is wrong, that's wrong, I know the True and Only Way™ to do this treatment!" Theres more than one way to wax a cat!
I understand how it looks, however her her downward circles are at a much lighter pressure than when she moves back upward. I have had the pleasure of have a treatment with her myself... the softest hands I have ever had on my face, and extremely passionate and educated. If you ever have the chance to have a facial with her, you will understand how she truly massages the skin. Nerida is an incredible and inspiring woman.
It wasn't "negative feedback", it was a diagnosis, which is super important so that the client will know what needs to be done to have even clearer more beautiful skin.
Okay, I have been an esty for 23 years... I am not a dr. She has an overinflated ego. She can't tell what organs are working well by looking at that woman's face.. what a crock!
a lot of non truths in this video .. You cannot shrink pores , moisturisers do not lighten and brighten and the extractions are not always a good idea especially when skin is not under steam . Eye serums do not change the colour of your under eye whether they are creams or gels . The ingredients in a good eye serum can do the work overnight to strengthen the crepey skin under eye which is where ageing begins to show . A good moisturiser is enough for the day .
Even if your skin is oily, you still wouldn't use super foaming cleanser. I am surprised that an "expert" would say that...super oily needs balance and hydration not more stripping. The foaming cleanser will mess with one's ph and cause the skin to overproduce more oil. SMH..
Michaele Acary you should see Nerida’s channel... you explanation is the exact reason she doesn’t like foaming cleansers. The only time she uses or recommends foaming cleansers is if the skin is extremely oily, with no surface dryness, and the client lives in a humid environment, otherwise she doesn’t like them at all. Nerida has a video dedicated to not using foaming cleansers lol. Check out her channel-super informative and educational...I’m sure you would change your mind.
Omg Nerida's gentle voice and speaking manner is sooooo relaxing. I love it❤❤❤❤❤

It's such a joy to watch this facialist doing her job
She is called an aesthetician.
This was so relaxing to watch for some reason

Great vid! And that's how you should look after having a facial, I've had some facials where my post-facial skin looks as though I've been in a fight.
"Only 15% of the population have oily skin" wow I feel unique now, thanks. Otherwise though, great job! Loved the detailed description and analysis of the procedure and face.
she said "really oily" skin with no dryness ... if you have any dryness at all (a lot of oily skin does) then you shouldn't use the foaming cleansers
She's amazing at doing her job
Nerida has an ASMR perfect voice! 😄😄
blackheads means not cleaning your skin good enough?I clean my face everyday and still have blackheads ..
some people will always have blackheads, but they can be significantly reduced with a twice a day cleansing and daily gentle exfoliation.
She's not saying she's not cleansing her skin, she's saying, she may not be cleansing her skin properly, or that she's using the right cleanser for her skin to address those issues. Nothing is a one size fits all.
Sarah Refalo try products with salicylic acid and try oil cleaning with jojoba oil or a pre cleanse then wash your face.
Sarah love deep Cleaning ..
She said blavkheads that pop up from the skin.. not blavkheads that lay flat on the skin.
I thought the girls skin looks great 😂 what would she say if she sees my skins .. Gosh lol
nunu No mine xD LOL

The aesthetician's voice is so soothing. I wanna try her when I visit LA.
Um...so...apparently I've not been paying nearly enough attention to my skin. Yikes. Knowledge is power. Thanks for sharing!
Beautiful with and without makeup , super cool video

I second this

I need that relaxing facial
Do you use a toner?
This is looks heavenly...
Anna and Susan you're doing great work
This lady sounds like asmr
I like very professional and nice diagnosis facial xx 😘😉☺️
Agreed. I am a certified esthetician, but I only know the basics.. I would love for her to hold a training class. I want her to teach me
celebrities are done bu seniors professional...
but average people like me, they ask newbies to do my face and in a rushy way! waste of money
Very nice job ,very professional 😃😉😍
Hi Nerida. Do you use microcurrent machines for facials
why did she not steam before extracting to make it easier ?
She did :) and than she did a massage on the skin.
I'm about to start school to become and esthetician and when she said something about them secretly liking doing the extractions I snorted cause it's true 😂🖤
I wish I could find someone to just do extractions for like an hour each appointment! Lol.
Is this Susan from the Susan and Sharzad show???
Yep
Back in the day!
Where is the address of that place?
I can do your facial lol :D
Don't enzymes help breakdown proteins not absorb dead skin cells?
Kristina Batista enzymes eat up the dead skin cells
Love her ❤️❤️❤️

To get into medical school, the major that you do in undergrad school is pretty much irrelevant. Do biology and then go to medical school for this :)
***** Oh okay, wasn't aware. I was actually thinking of dermatology
Is it just me, or do the hosts look like they barely like each other?

What I noticed she didn't have on gloves when performing extractions and also no steam that's the easiest way when your pores are open to extract 🤔
U missed them. Watch carefully what's done and listen activelly on what's been said.
Yes steam is needed
Anna is actually very pretty :)
Glad you liked it!
Facials hurt like a bitch when the squeezing begins lol
great diagnosis!!!

Does this women have anything good to say 🙄
as an esthetician, u should know NOT to rub the skin in a downward direction. ur gonna give the poor girl premature wrinkles
Seeing long hair after 35 which is not a good idea
Oh just let your hair frizz. It was so unprofessional.
She’s using downward strokes. The skin will sag. She’s not a professional
Not professional? Remember she's been aesthetician for 4decades. who are u?
Shes Australian, they learn a bit differently
