I'm in esthetics school, and the gauze are simply used to help the device move across the skin, that's really the only reason for them. If your doing this at home there's no need for a gauze, your still going to get the same effect. Just remember keep moving the device, don't keep it in one spot or it can cause hyper-pigmentation.
Natalie Smith no problem girl. Yea just make sure to keep it moving. If you already have some hyper-pigmentation and you leave it resting on one spot it'll only make the spot darker. Also if you have a pimple that you want to get rid of quicker, you can VERY slight raise the device from your face and it'll kind of zap the pimple, but only do that for a couple seconds.
There are 2 types of high frequency treatments: direct high frequency and indirect high frequency. The one shown in the video is direct, it's great for oily, congested and blemish prone skin. With indirect high frequency, the client holds the rod with the current and it is put through their body. The therapist then massages, allowing the current to go through them too. Indirect HF is better for dry/mature skin and is used in Vietnamese massage!
spot on! exactly what I've learned here in the UK as a aesthetician. In the video , she uses gauze , which you don't need to do, you can apply an ionisation gel and then apply the glass electrode to massage this into the skin.
bought one of this for me a year ago. can’t live without it. it’s become part of my skin care. i do it on my face once or twice a week (depending if i have any acne) and on my hair every 2 days to prevent hair loss. my pores are so much smaller almost invisible in some places and it helps me so much to reduce any spots when i do have them (since using i rarely have any acne).

Cheffee Love hi! I’m looking into buying one in amazon, did you buy yours there? Also I want to use it for acne and acne hyper-pigmentation by any chance do you know which gas is best for that? Thanks you!
There's this dermatologist clinic in Korea where they treat acne. They do facials there to eliminate the acne and moisturise and do that zapping thing so that there will be fewer acne.
I’ve done like 40 classes with Dermalogica in LA but never once got a real facial from them. I’ve always wanted one.. I love the choreography of the cleansing and massage.
AC current doesn't go though the body rather it goes across the surface and that is where cleaning happens , the strength of cleaning is equal to power applied , problem is its going to hurt if too much power is applied and we need it , to go around this i developed very high frequency cleaner , because frequency equals power as well , so to keep it painless but still apply power , i bring the frequency up , that is the basic form , but off course different frequency's work best for certain applications . Depending on the problem , its not one size fits all . But anyways , nice video
Argon and oxygen =ozone which is an antioxidant..... Argon is in the electrodes And an oxygen cream or gel is placed on to the skin the gauze are there to help increase oxygen and act as a slight protection.... the
I really like your speaking voice. It really bums me out when some of the people on youtube I want to watch have that high pitched, overly loud, I just drank 10 cups of expresso voice...do you know what I mean??? Well, anyway great voice...great video
They always do something like this in my facial package and the package itself just around $15. So why is this so expensive? or is it a different procedure?
the gauze is surprising. it's better to use a conductive gel with active ingredients that you want to infuse into the skin. the gasses help the active ingredient penetrate deeper and more effectively.
I noticed that you wear foundation even though you still have acne... can you recommend any foundations for people that have oily skin that won't cause them to have more pimples
Chidinma Ohaya Hi Chidinma! Thank you so much for watching :) I love lightweight base products like tinted moisturizers (love NARS, bare minerals) and concealers (urban decay is my ride or die) for my acne-prone skin. Mineral foundations like Tarte's Amazonian Clay powder foundation are excellent choices, too! Try to stay away from anything with a lot of added fragrance and always be sure to take your makeup off EVERY night! I hope this helps :)
can someone share more details to a beginner...completely unaware of this treatment..looks amazing though...also pls share more details about the equipment...
Hmm... good video, what can I use to wet my mask before using high frequency on it. Can I use aloe vera gel, I want to take out dark dead skin cells. Thanks
You might be better off using an ultrasonic facial device if your aim is to remove dark skin cells as that is more rejuvenating than the high frequency wand.
Hi Memphis! I will definitely make a note to do before and afters next time we shoot something like this! Always good to know :) I hope you enjoyed anyway!

its fine for the esthetician to wear jewelry, as long as the client is not....
Most likely not real metal

Ulta has it apart of their facial for 75 dollars and the entire facial is an hour this part of the routine took about 10-15 mins loved it
would have liked to learn more about the science.. referencing studies
you can do this at home I do it a couple times a weeks and it works great for cystic acne! I'm now see if it works for my enlarged pores.
