Practice makes perfect. A few bits of advice: 1) have something to keep the seat and platform attached (if the platform falls, what will you do?). 2) it's easier if you only move the seat to the bottom of your pecs (it helps you utilize stronger muscles when you lift your platform). 3) make sure the seat and platform are locked in good before putting your weight on them. 4) depending on how narrow the tree gets, the more of a cant you will want your platform when you start climbing (you will learn this as you go).
